  • if its with in th 30 days the provider should be able to send u a new one i just got mine today great knife

  • Lifetime warranty baby! Send it back. The Kershaw factory is actually in the middle of a production batch right now. Now would be the perfect time to send it in. By the end of March they should back out in the internet stores. If you live in Oregon near Tualatin, you can take it right in and they will come back out with a brand new one (if they have them at the time).

  • I have that same knife, but I haven't had that issue with it. The only problem I've had with mine is the blade does not always lock open when you deploy it.

  • See my video on this knife. I have no problem with the tip or anything else about it. This knife is my everyday carrier. No problems to share. I think you are having an isolated issue. Sounds like a warranty issue. Good luck m8. Jay

  • Dang. I just ordered one. I'll let you know if mine has that problem.

  • I guess that's why it's called the Breakout LOL! Can't keep that thing in the handle. Mo' complex, mo' problems. I think it's something to expect in an inexpensive auto. Not every one, but as you have said, the tolerance issues.

  • @DemonHide lol it just might breakout in your pocket! But its a shame, because other than this issue, Im really diggin this knife!

  • Unfortuntly i don't know how to help you my good friend!! :(, but this is a huge problem, if your knife is cutting you than that is not cool

  • @TheLazySpoiledKitty Well, us knife collectors tend to get cut a lot! The thing is, it happens when the knife is open lol.

  • Can you try to call kershaw and ask them about it, perhaps they have a tip or something you can try. Also does it void your warranty if you take it apart? Perhaps theres something you can fix, or perhaps a corner of the blade that reaches the stop pin is a little too elongated and didn't cut right. So perhaps you can sand it down. Or something [just throwing out suggestions]. Really sucks about the roundabout way you have to go through for some CS

  • @jeffjuice3886 Yeah, its damn near impossible to get CS on a auto! They can't even send me replacement parts like pocket clips!

  • @jeffjuice3886 However I will try taking it apart and meddling with it a little. Voiding warranties is a side hobby of mine. :)

  • @redsoxnation32 lol, hopefully that will solve your problem. And plus if it does, you get to feel good about yourself afterwards :p. But that is pretty ridiculous about the CS. I thought kershaw was supposed to be at least pretty decent, and did stuff like sending replacement parts. I guess I stand corrected, or they are just not consistent. which isn't good either lol

  • @jeffjuice3886 Oh man you don't know the half of it! Kershaw has EXCELLENT customer service! I just got some parts from them today for my leek. No charge to me, only a quick email. In fact, I would have to say kershaws CS is the best in the business. The issue here is that the knife is automatic. And there are a whole bunch of laws that prohibit sending auto knives to the manufacturer and this and that and a whole bunch of junk. Because this is an auto knife, it complicates the situation.

  • @redsoxnation32 Oh ok, that clears it up a bit, and the previous statements from people were true than about kershaws cs being really good. Bummer about the autos though, I mean seriously knives today deploy as fast, faster, or very close to a automatic, its almost a needless worry. Terrible laws from people who are narrow minded and afraid, and afraid of change =./ [not all politicians, a lot of great people, just sayin, some people just ruin it for the rest :p]

  • I would send that back to kershaw asap, they will make it right.

  • @mechanisto1832 I would love to send it back, but with automatics its a real pain. Because its an automatic, it can not be sent directly back to the manufacturer (at least thats what kershaw tells me). And so send it through the dealer is just a real pain in the ass! I know from experience.

  • hey there, i think it might be an isolated incident with your knife because mine does not do that. the tip sits well below the handles and my blade doesn't move up and down like yours did in the video when i press on it.

  • @eyespy0099 Hmmmm... seems to me kershaw had some issues with tolerance then. I can't wait to see what kershaw has to say.

  • Well that is shitty. Better get the TP.

  • @Speedogg138 Lol thats exactly why I already had the TP out!

  • @redsoxnation32 h, I thought it was for Cornholio,
