  • This is very bad advice. At many airports your aircraft could be on a remote stand and you will be bused to it. Also, what if you go by this guys advice and the arrival screen is wrong? Also, what if, like others have said, the aircraft is being towed to the gate? Unless you're told otherwise by staff, always go by the screens.

  • Plan B is to detonate the nuke.

  • This tip couldn't be more wrong. At large airports, arriving flights are often towed off the gate after passengers have disembarked so the plane can be groomed since gate space is very valuable. The aircraft used for departing may be towed from a different spot at the airport about 30 minutes before you board.

  • I alway check at departure gate when someone is at the counter way before time is due. Found out the new departure gate had change and it take 15 min. to get to another gate on another side of building. So check your departure gate counter to make sure you are at the right place and time. Don't wait last min.

  • did your 'helpful' tip and my flight was delayed. FUCK YOU! YOU LIED!!

  • bolluks bolluks bolluks

  • This is nonsense. On sometime occassions, planes are parked at gates for departure hours in advance of the flight.

Also, what is Plan B, don't go to the departure gate?

  • awehrhrktkul;

  • im going to Doha alone O.o me scared.... Confusing Airport they've got there

  • When you arrived at the gate, check with the ticket taker near by to make sure you are at the correct gate and correct time. Make sure you arrive ahead of time (one to two hours). Check in at correct ticket taker once tacket taker desk is open at correct gate. Don't wait at last minute rush. Seat can fill up before you arrived late.

One time I had to walk from one terminal to another and took me over 30 min. No, I was not late, it was one hour early. I follow as show above.

  • 1: his 30 second tip took 41 seconds :P

and what if the plane at your gate has already been arrived couple of hours ago?

  • once my mom and i traveled like 3 floors down the airport, and had a 10 minute trip around to get to the gate, when we get down there (like 5 minutes from boarding) we find out that we were at the WRONG GATE.

  • more useless information....what is plan B?

  • he looks more like a movie reviewer.

  • tis not even 30seconds its 41.

  • Thumbs up if you think peter greenberg smoke a lil too much marijuanaicka during hanukah and decided to make shitty youtube videos to totally waste our time...

  • @HandbagMafia thumbs up if this video was posted in 07

  • haha, this is to funny... some bloke dishing out tips like he has airport smarts!

  • plan b stands for bacarti....

    plan c stands for coke

  • Plan B = Bomb.

  • plan b = hotel

  • that's what my mum does :|

  • Plan B. 'B' stands for 'bar.'

  • lol, Plan C is to choose another video from the right.

  • Has this guy made a whole channel about getting on a plane?

  • actually, arrival plane might not be my departure plane~ so if nothing is arriving at the airport at my gate in 1000000000 hours, doesnt mean another plane wont taxi to the boarding gate for my departure~ ;p

  • 30 second tip? You lie too!!!!!!

  • my mom called the airport in advance to check on our flight, and it was on time, but when we got there checking in the baggage, they told us it was 3 hours delayed! we had to take a freaking different flight, the airports we were at just screwed us

  • heres a tip give me 41 seconds of my life back because this was the stupidest video ever

  • Dear Peter Greenberg,

You are a Jack-Ass. You know NOTHING about modern day travel!

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we enjoy flying?

    (2) Why do we feel relax and more optimistic when we are at the airport/airfield?

    (3) What is the environmental factor(s) that causes us to feel enjoyable when we are at the airport/airfield?

    (4) What do you enjoy most for being at the airport/airfield?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • just because nothing arrives at the gate you're suppose to leave from doesn't mean that you're not going anywhere. Your plane can be parked somewhere else in the airport and it will be pushed to the gate you are going leave from by the time of boarding.

  • LOL !!

  • Not true, I work for a major airline and sometimes actually alot of times our aircrafts come in from the hanger, especially when going international, they have to go through another check before going over the water, so there for that doesn't mean because there was no arrival at that gate that it will not be a departure

  • so i have a question. Im 14 but i turn 15 in a few months. and i wanted to fly to italy by myself. Can i just say im 15 so i can fly by myself??

  • yeah i flew when i was 12 by my self. im not sure if all airlines have this but singapore and japan if im correct have like assistance thing which they take you to the gates when at the airport.

  • I work for Preboard security I find Peter Greenberg's tips need to be more researched in that area as well.

  • Comment removed

  • lol so true

  • what happens if it's the last flight of the night? nothing will be arriving until next morning.

  • Dear, flights keep on arriving at different times of day and night.Airports are open 24 hours.

  • I beg to differ. Some airports e.g. London Heathrow Airport, are regulated so that no departures or arrivals occur between 11pm - 5am. This is to lower noise pollution.

  • pretty sure the majority of airports around the world, e.g. JFK, LAX, HKG, all decrease their capacity by over 60% overnight, which results in empty gates.

  • Well its a good idea to avoid pollution at these times, the airports I know do not schedule their flights this way

  • Dear, the buildings may be open 24 hours, but a big chunk of them do not have flights late at night.

And you might not want to sound so snide next time.

  • What's plan B Peter, OH GOD WHAT'S PLAN B?!

  • we be feeling up hard places to jack

  • What if the aircraft has been there for hours already? And you dont go to the gate cos your think your smarter than airline staff? Happens all the time.... This guys passive aggressive cynicism for airlines is hilarious.. Guys like him should just catch a bus!

  • so...........whats plan B?

  • to get wasted

  • humm so plan c's i guess would be call a hooker then?

  • but this is not always true. because i just recently had a customer come to me saying there isnt a flight coming into my gate cause chicago is delayed but he doesnt and didnt know that his arriving flight was an international arrival that comes into another terminal and wont be on the same gate..

then wat if the plan is already here or being moved from soemwhere else... hmmm

  • "Plan B" - Getting a hooker?

  • plan b is to go on standby

  • exactly.

  • Holes in the tip: 1. Arrivals are deleted off a board approx 1-2 hours after landing and sometimes even sooner. 2. Sometimes planes are taxied into a gate with a tug from a hanger or another gate. 3. Maybe the gate change has not been updated on the board just yet, patience is a virtue. Airports are not an exact science, a plane may have been at the gate for a long time (overnight), and is therefore not on the arrivals board. Not a good tip to follow....all it will cause is unnecessary stress.

  • right, most of the time his own opinion, isnt the same as the facts and general knowledge
