The fly-back transformer in a TV usually has an output around 8-10kV. There is a voltage multiplier after the transformer that multiplies the output by 2-4x. On older TVs, the multiplier is separate from the fly-back, but on all newer TVs the multiplier is potted in with the fly-back. The voltage multiplier is nothing much more than a couple of capacitors and diodes. It takes the AC from the fly-back and turns it into pulsed DC. You can add another multiplier if you have one.
