l seen them, the Ramones at the el macombo back 78 or 9 but it was great! i saw the deadboys at the horseshoe & new york city, with stiv bators hanging himself off those old pipes!! GREAT SHT! l'm so glad ; was there 4 the start of it, WHO new at that time, that l'd even b alive 35 yrs later, let alone watch and listen 2 my song by NAZI DOG on my phone!! FAR OUT!! AND WAY 2 COOL! long live punk, all rock'n'roLL. 1 OF TH BEST PUNK 2 DAY GREEN DAY!!!!
@skremmmer66 loved everything you said. but green day? really?? compared to the Ramones? Sex Pistols? I see them as sell outs but at the same time I wasn't around to see the true punk bands in their time. I would love to know more about what it's like.
this is a really cool docufilm 1st time i ever heard steve talk about himself and punk philosophy i still love the band but i bet he would kick his own ass if he met himself they are still doing the same thing for 15 years too, still very cool to see more '70s punk on youtube
they talk about all the companies and the 600$ designer shirts with tears its exactly whats happening to punk now commercialism capitalizing on the youth, with how the economy is going hopefully some good music will emerge
Some of the last shots are looking south on Yonge st. from the New Yorker, with the old firehall/ St. Charles tavern (a notorious gay bar) on the west side of the street, with the clock tower.
thanks for the upload, I learned a lot.
