@twingo16V his brother is Zaim and his name is Haim. they are pretty cool though but I think the explorer unfortunately blew up in a fire. I know that Haim has a mini truck now that he's working on so we will see how that goes. You still need to come over here and listen to mine. It will for sure be ready by SBN!

@tarath1337 Not exactly true.. I drive the car daily at nearly 160 without issues for over a year now. I have several videos of it hitting over 160db as well if you care to look it up.

my calculations says if youre speakers have 95db on 1w. you would need 950000w to get 160db. and as someone else said, you probably cant survive 160 db very long

@maxbify That is a theoretical calculation that it takes 10 times the amount of power to gain 3 db with the same setup. It's not really a standard to go by. I would agree that you probably could have severe problems if you were exposed to 160db for lets say.. 5 minutes. Otherwise, its not that bad. I listen to it all of the time. I have plenty of videos of my Hummer up hitting over 160db anyways if you doubt me..

@Toad559 It's called a 6th order bandpass. There are four 6" aeroports that open into the main chamber which is another port. Basically, a 6th order is a 4th order bandpass with a port that fires into another port.

I have heard plenty of the new hcca's and My xfl I just picked up sounds cleaner and puts out much more volume per amount of power..... And it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell if it moved the same amount of air. IMPOSSIBLE from a video. Air humidity and the person's hair can make a 8 db difference in what it takes to do it!

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL exactly how loud something is based on a video... Right now on my 150 watts and 1 15 my doors wobble out almost an 1/2 inch.. In reality the car has crappy build qaulity.. But in a video it would look LOUD.. granted it is loud for 150 watts!.. but like 1500 watt loud!

@audis4mister I just shortened the ports last night. I listened to it for the first time about 20 minutes ago and I can't believe how much louder it is.. I haven't put it on the meter yet but I only got to about 70% up and it was at least a full db louder than before. The lows are barely missing too, if I go any shorter it will make a huge difference though.

@audis4mister the problem I have found with my car having two amps is that the reactions are actually less.. I notice more of a shock than a freaking out sort of reaction. With one amp and around 155db, people lose their minds, but when I crank it to about 158-160db people can't even move lol that's why I don't have too many reaction vids.

@420basshead420 it did a 163.9 @ 43hz with the door open meter on the dash. I haven't metered recently on 28hz but when we did preliminary testing on 7000 watts rms, it was doing 153 @ 22 hz

very nice, looks quite loud. one other thing, not positive how your mids are housed, but if there open air behind the mids, might seal off even the back side of the speakers to create a completely enclosed mids. this might help fight against any pressure against the front of the mid cones by the sealed section creating a back pressure on the inside of the speakers. not exatcly sure what might help, but again looks pretty dam loud and I bet it plays low notes very well.

@ObiBassoholic The pressure from the bass caused them to overexcurt and eventually blow. I'm probably going to have to replace the two with a totally different type of speaker because it's an ongoing problem with the same spot in the car.

As far as the bracing, the screws keep falling out of them so I need to use bolts instead when I go to redo it.
