Yeshua is the Messiah. Accept the love of the Truth. It is such a profound love HaShem has for Israel that He went to this length giving an offering like this so Israel can be saved. Yeshua lives.
SHALOM! Did you know that Yeshua HaMashiach suffered and died for the sins of many and resurrected on the third day. He was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities, therefore he was sacrificed as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world by the sheding of his precious holy blood (see Isaiah 53:5-7 & 10, John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Hebrews 9 & 13:11-12 and Revelation 1:5). Yeshua HaMashiach is the atonement on Yom Kippur, AMEN.
Any prophecy, any bible text that need interpretation cannot be from God. Can you belive that god would be so stupid as not to make some provisions to designate those qualified to interpret his word ?
There is clearly more than one servant in the book of Isaiah. Even King Cyrus is called an "anointed" one in chapter 45:1. To say there is only one servant in the entire book is to deny the text. In this chapter - the servant is indeed Israel in verse 3&4. Then - in the very next verse - the new servant cannot be Israel. The NEW servant "And now..." is charged to bring Israel back. Read it as plain as day. And also charged to be a light to the gentiles (vs. 6). Yeshua fits 100%.
The servant brings Israel back to God (see Isaiah 49:6). Also - this Servant was cut off from the living for the transgression of "my people" (which has to be Israel.) So this servant is an individual whose job is to bring Israel back to God. The servant here then is not Israel.
See next comment - as this NEW servant in verse 5 is clearly Yeshua. Israel wearies in verse 4 and the new servant is called in verse 5 to bring back failing Israel. see next comment.
@hat655 Also lets not forget that when God refers to Israel, He refers to as a She or Her. In Isaiah 53, its He or Him. Therefor it can NOT be Israel Isaiah 53 is referring too. :)
No, I accept the text and the text clearly says this servant suffers "for the sins of my people..." (and Israel is the 'my people'). So this particular servant cannot be Israel. Since He suffers for Israel. Who suffered for Israel (and the gentiles) - Yeshua. That's the gospel. Either you will suffer for your own sins at the end of time (and don't think HaShem will not make you pay for every single sin or you can have someone pay for you instead. A substitute. That's what this servant does.
Talmudic Judaism will never let you know that so many rabbis before the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. knew and wrote about the Suffering Moshiach, according to Yeshayahu 53. Elohim became a man as a Korban to die for Humanity. Salvation has nothing to do with modern judaism, which is a religious klan made up mostly by Khazarians who will never tell the world about YHVH Tzvaot. Yeshua was Jew and will come back as a jew to rule over all humanity. Daniel 9:26, portrays the suffering servant
There is no such thing as a suffering Messiah in Judaism. Paul himself admits that this was not in the (Old Testament): (Eph 3:4) When you read this you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to human beings in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit... Paul admits that this is not revealed in the (Old Testament) and admits that its a new revealed MYSTERY. A suffering Messiah is a Christian claim,
Sorry Sweet Lonnie - a complete misreading of Paul - keep going to verse 6 and Rabbi Paul himself explains the mystery - "That the GENTILES should be fellow heirs... and partakers... of Christ (Messiah).
How can you miss something so simple my friend?
And if you say there is no suffering Messiah in Jewish thought - it is like saying there really was no Twin Towers ever. How do you begin to show how absurd this is. Ancient Jewish writings clearly spoke of a suffering servant.

@JewishMinister
Is Israel sinless? Can Israel be put in a rich man's grave?
Verse 9 brother.
Marred, like when people were spitting on him.
Isaiah 52:15 says kings will honour him. Kings have honoured Jesus, the Jews have been persecuted by kings, so again not Israel.

yes, Israel is a servant in earlier chapters, but in chapter 49 (vs.5)this servant is to help Israel "to bring Jacob back"
It is this servant of whom Isaiah writes about. Isaiah 53:5 (JPS) says:
"But he was wounded because of our transgressions, he was crushed because of our iniquities;"
The "our" is Israel. Isaiah is writing as a Jew and clearly stating that this "Servant" will be crushed for "our" (Israel's) transgressions.
There clearly is a servant who suffers for Israel in this chapter.

And that "Servant" is Israel, but obviously your going to ignore it's truth do to corrupt Christian Ideology.
