reason why people pick UD is becouse instead of shadow gaurd they get a huge DPS spell called devouring plauge that does as much dps as shadow word pain and heals you, and stacks with VE, so you get double healing from same spell to whole party
It wouldnt be double to the party, only 20%. Shadowguard also procs VE as well as black out.... but get this, it has no 3min cooldown and is a life saver when getting attacked by a rogue. Being stun locked then stunning the attacker is priceless. I rolled Troll for Hex of Weakness. -20% healing curse ftw
