Of course fluoride must occur naturally, but we're talking micro grams. I bought one bottle of water and it said it had 0.1mg of fluoride which is probably safe enough, but when it's shoveled into the water, like in the mains, it's just awful. How do you test the water for fluoride?

You can always send a sample to an independent lab and bear the cost yourself, or maybe send a sample to the DNR and ask for an analysis. I do it myself when I'm at work in a hospital lab... Yeah, I know... everyone can't do that, but if one wishes to know, there are labs around that can alalyze anything for anything.
