I love Dark Chocolate but if children are forced to be slaves making the chocolate and they are being abused then I don't love chocolate we should send back the chocolate made by them and show them we don't support this abuse done to children
"Chocolate - Not So Sweet Afterall (The Côte d'Ivoire Story)" is a great video. Call. Write. Email. Tweet. Share the info with everyone. Chocolate is a poster child but all the colonial nations have never had a Civil Rights movement. Think about that. Sugar. Oil. Spice... Another item to consider, ere in America we still ave slavery. Check out articles on tomato farms in FL, or sugar farms. Most industrial agriculture is unfairly rewarded when you get to the worker level.

... and this has been happening in many different ways throughout the times.
But many of the people that decides about the slave market and allows this tragedies to keep happening (not only the elite but basically all of us living on this planet) are being consumed by alcohol for example... it makes people forget about this kind of real problems that have to be solved GLOBALLY! The dark side in all of us - and we create this economic system (of slavery). LETS WAKE UP to what needs to be changed.
It's not the dark side of chocolate - it's the 'dark side of the money system' - today more than 3 billion people live in poverty - most of them working in slave like conditions - and each day a billion go to sleep with an empty stomach
Don't go for the cheap solution of buying your certified chocolate - while the rest still suffer - rather find a way to end the abuse of the system by taking on the system at the root
Dare to research - stand up for equality with an equal money system
TOP - And look at which 'treats' you are allowing within this world -
Virtually everything we consume involves a form of abuse, thus we require an OVERALL reform of how food and products and services are produced.
It is not only about chocolate, nor would 'not buying it' free-you from the Responsibility we all have in this, just by the mere fact of using Money = we are Part of the Collective Abuse that's being created in this world.
