Definatley not out of tune guys! The tempo changes a lot but I feel it suits the piece very well indeed. The recording quality isn't great but it's hardly his fault.
The tempo is subjective and spontaneous. On my cd, it's much slower. As far as out of tune, the hall was giving me trouble throughout the whole performance. Some halls are like that. Those voicing issues about it probably don't understand or have experience to understand that.
I think if people are going to post negative comments like "too fast...out of tune..." then why don't you post a Video Response and show us how it's done. Zimmer is a fine guitarist and I'm willing to bet toast the majority of people leaving negative comments.
such subjective opinions on the likes of tempo and such only indicate that you have failed to really try to understand what the performer was feeling whilst in the moment of the performance... and that you did not join them on the journey but instead watched their ship sail away. and pointed and glared at it's magnificent departure into the sea... and you, isolated in your own island of perfection have missed the boat. and the journey altogether.
