Toning down violence wasn't a bad idea among my favorite westerns are Kung Fu, Little House on the Prarrie, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Paradise all of which have less violence than the westerns that ran back then. Yeah Kung Fu had Kung Fu which is fighting, but he seldom killed people on the show and the saw was about more than just the violence.

iv only recently watched this series (except 5 and 6 cause there not on dvd in the uk) and george reeves is the best actor to play superman. its a shame hat he died R.I.P

Out of all the Superman films there ever were, George Reeves was the best. I used to watch his films way back in 1964, when I was still at school. He was perfect for the part,besides, he was good looking, tall and smart.Thanks for sharing.I would like to buy some of his films from you later on.

is the book flight of fantacy an encyclopedia? is there a movie based on the book of that superman thing by michael j hayde? why are they not showing behind the scenes footages of that 1950's and 40's? still we can learn a lot of making techniques from those footages. If anybody has upload the behind the scenes

The first season was the best. A dog was killed,an old woman in a wheelchair was thrown down the stairs and Lois Lane was punched in the mouth. Kellogg's sponser protested the violence was too inappropriate for the audience they'll like to reach. After the first director of reality was fired........the rest four seasons were dictated to 10 year old corn flake kids.

Thanks for the tribute to the best Superman. Mild-mannered reporter huh? not much difference in the protrayals of Kent and Superman though. Have to admit the first few seasons were better scripted. Gee, in the color episodes they had some awfully dumb crooks. George Reeves was the best.
