It's not literally 'there is no timing yadda yadda', because really if there was absolutely nothing this wouldn't be an amv, just a bunch of clips. It's my way of saying that I didn't stress out over it or anything though. I made an amv that was fun for me to make, not something that will wow a panel of judges with technique. Basically emotional editing. ouo

Nice, the clips go well with the beat and mood of the song, as well as the song goes very well with the anime. You didn't use effects as a huge crutch, which seems to be an issue lately. The words on the screen that weren't the lyrics to the song were interesting and increased the epic-ness, which was nice. Overall, pretty good.
Either way the video edit is shit, sorry inu and whoever that wanna waste their time trying to defend someone over the internet lol but you'' just have to accept it :)

I read your description before watching the amv and I must say I fully agree with you on the soul emphasis of the creator. I've seen multiple amvs that are all about effects and timing and shizz but they always feel empty. And you are welcome to your own opinion as I am well aware of the right to free speech on the internet, but you didn't so much voice your opinion as you outright insulted Saint's editing without cause. If you are not an editor yourself offering actual constructive criticism, refrain from saying such things in the future.

You are obviously very immature and while I respect everyone is permitted their opinion, you went out of your way to antagonize not only Saint (who is a girl btw jackass ^^) but also the people who DO enjoy her work by inviting others to flame you, recognizing that you were simply being an asshole for no good reason and it does have to do with me because you insulted one of my dearest friends. And I find defending my friends from trolls, HARDLY a waste of time.

oh wow, so beautiful, i've watched a few of your videos and enjoyed all of them but this one stood out the most. I'm sure that anything that you put energy into will come out as beautiful and amazing as the soul you put into it. I'm sure it helps that this song can't help but nag at just about everyone's hearts haha. Lately it's only been "oh my god the timing is off, oh my god this effect is too overused already, oh my god this sucks how bout I mask everything in this video maybe it'll look better!" to the point that editing becomes forced. Oh god Saint. That was just...really...heart warming? Just the beauty of both that video and that description. I guess editing is really a way of expressing yourself and a form of your soul in a way. If you get what I mean ^^; . And I edit for the same reason, because I can pour my heart and soul into my videos. Because I can't express myself through words. So editing is something I do to replace that. And the AMV; just beautiful. ILU so much and I want to be there for you, always ^^

Just fantastic. All the best editing doesn't come from effects or timing, its the "soul" that the amv clips get when they meet the music and give off raw emotion. you did an amazing job on this one :)

I hate how many editors you get nowadays that whore out effects but don't put any real effort or meaning in their videos. I don't think effects should matter that much really, I just think they should come straight from the soul, like you said.

Saint, this was absolutely and positively beautiful. I could feel the emotions and heart you put in this. You know, just because you have decided to put your heart and soul into your editing and not care what someone else has to say about it makes you one of the best editors on youtube. A lot of good editors become bad editors by trying to please everyone else..when they should be editing because they love to and they put a piece of their heart in it. This really reminds me of the videos of yours that I used to be in love with, the ones that made me so drawn to you. I'm glad that you remembered what editing is really about, I'd recently lost sight of it, too, and I think it's important to find that again and start editing more for yourself, more for the very essence of doing it, rather than wanting to 'wow' people with what you can do, technically.
