@bobwatters if you put a few layers of tin foil around the barrel then that wont happen, it does not ignite until after it leaves the barrel, so really its impossible for it to backfire unless you shoot it in the air or on you face/ a house/ forestry (wich they did, dumbasses be what they be.)

ok. if there is ANY space at all, there is enough for even the silghtest reaction. Unless the gun is vaccum sealed(which it isnt). a bubble of air the size of a pinhead is enough to cause a reaction. besides, when the gasoline starts to burn, it will deplenish(that means go away[thought i might of had to explain]). so as the gas burns, there will be more space left over. FOR PROOF: Go light a fire and spray it with aerosol for a minute or 2. see what happens.

A big enough explosion, however, will break the fluid container and then your whole head is in flames.
