  • I fell bad that I'm this uneducated, but if she identifies as a transsexual woman does that mean she was born a man? I'm just not sure..

  • 1:23 THAT SHIRT

  • I would die for a google job , I would use my position to change the world,

  • There are no other video's besides the It Gets Better videos that tug at my heart strings so much..lol, love what this campaign has done! :')

  • the guy at 3:22 is so cute

  • I have to agree with this video that it does get better but when you work for google it gets way much much much better!!!

  • i'm 27 and it hasn't got better yet

  • The guy at 3:22 is smoking HAWT

  • How can I get a gay flag andriod tshirt. Totally cool.

  • Apparently it only gets better for Caucasian and Asian LGBT's. No latinos or African Americans need to have hope. Don't place their faces on here. Maybe Google doesn't hire these people. Interesting.

  • I've been feeling really depressed... thank you for the video guys... I love it.. people should love you for who you are. no matter what.

  • Sorry, I know this is completely off topic but I have to say it. Does anyone else notice that the guy's shirt at 1:00 looks like it changes colours when you look at his face then back at the shirt?

  • I actually needed this, I've been feeling pretty depressed lately! THANK YOU GOOGLE PEOPLE! ;D

  • im actually sat crying my eyes out at this video, these videos always get to me :'(

  • Is the google office just a blue void?

  • the transexual looks AMAZING! I could never tell she was a man before

  • Correction, The Trevor Hotline is for LGBTQQICPA(etc) people, not just Gay and Questioning. Include everyone, or don't talk at all.

  • Hey haters everytime you use google you encourage the gay community. ;)

  • @liotie U mad bro? You talk like the Google staff

  • To all homophobic fundamentalist Christians who thinks that suicide is a problem for gays: actually u can solve this problem in a very simple way: quit ur believe, or at least shut ur mouth up. No one wants to die / kill themselves. The surrounding environment / circumstances makes one do. If u think that suicide is a problem, and u hv no means of shutting ur mouth up, then, as always, u are a hypocrite.

Note: does NOT apply to some gay-friendly Christians.

  • Google, fuck who you please, just don't invade my privacy. Google privacy policy, Acta, Sopa etc. should be illegal

  • Thank you SO much for this video

  • Thank you.

  • And to all the hating strait folks, a simple question-If you feel as consumed with hatred as you clearly are for a certain category of your fellow human beings why do you all spend so much time (in fact any time at all) making the effort to search out and look for and watch these video's? And I can't think of a more excruciating hell than to be living out ones life, the only life you will ever have, in this constant state of soul poisoning hate of people you don't know. It's so sad.

  • Oh so strait people never engage in risky behavior or feel suicidal or get aids or do drugs or feel isolated and ALL non strait people ALWAYS experience them? What a ridiculously 2 dimensional world you live in. I'm gay and I don't have aids or do drugs, have never even thought of suicide and driving a car is the riskiest behavior I can think of. I have felt isolated and know what made me stronger? BELIEF IN MYSELF, not some made up fantasy. Experience is the only thing life is any good for.

  • What gets better? What? The risky behavior? The risk of suicide, aids, drug abuse? Isolation? So tell me, what gets better? Stop fooling yourself, it dont get better. Stop encouraging this type if behavior. Its dangerous. Try reaching out to God.

  • @purelifer100 So what about gay people that do believe in God? There are gay Christians who are and are not diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, who are and are not abusing drugs, who are or are not considering suicide, and those who are or are not isolated from everyone else. I thought that being a Christian meant that you understand that God and Jesus were trying to teach humanity to not cast judgment upon your neighbor, for all will be judged equally by God himself in the afterlife.

  • @purelifer100

AIDS: u (or maybe it's only we) know better that condom and monogamy (yes, love between gays can last) is going to be the ultimate cure.

Drug abuse: u mean that straight teens don't abuse drug?

Isolation/suicide: no one in their right mind will think of suicide. If someone beats u up daily w/o killing u, and no one's there to help (of coz, everyone thinks that u deserve to die), then it's not ur fault committing suicide. plz hv this simple logic down the guts, thank you!

  • @purelifer100

Reality refutes your silly claims. Happy and satisfied gay people infuriate you, huh? You could as easily address in the same manner any marginalized population, past or present, whose dysfunctional behavior is a direct result of oppression from people like you. It's rather like repeatedly repeatedly striking a child and blaming them for their own pain.

    You are a blight.

  • @iCombii Then I will greet you there! :D

  • @iCombii

Mention of hell assumes hell has been shown to exist. Guess your work is cut out for you, eh?

In the meantime, take a hard, long look at yourself. You felt the need to post this comment. What's wrong with you?

  • Dammit, this video makes me wanna take computer engineering and work for Google!

  • @bowenwen1992 I already take computer engineering...

  • Stop hating on other people and judge by the way the act or look. All these guys are high educated and work for Google. Most of Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender have talent and they are contribute a lot for this world. The fact is they work for Google :D

  • Thank you. This is the It Gets Better video I have needed all along.

  • @evansideburns You're a beautiful human being, and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

  • @evansideburns They put in the Title, it gets better for a reason.. Do you see anywhere in the related video section: It gets worst? That's what they don't want you to see. They only want you to see one side. That's why these videos are so popular. They have been inflated by sock accounts. The reality is, not many individual people actually come to this video. It's mostly sock accounts.

  • What happens if it doesn't get better?

What if, wherever you go, you're surrounded by hateful cretins? What if you're trapped, in a family, in a job, in a city, where no one will accept you? What if it isn't temporary?

Saying 'it gets better' isn't enough, if it isn't true.

  • @KapStuf It's not just going to happen by itself. You have to do it for yourself. If that means avoiding your family or moving somewhere else, that's something you'll have to deal with. But once you're able to get out into the world and chose where you live and who you talk to, things get better.

  • @dreamsinwhite1 ...unless they don't.

What if you can't move away because you have parents, or children, who depend on you. What if you can't find a better place to work because you can't afford to quit and there's nothing better around because it's a recession. What if you're in the army and there's nothing for you outside if you leave?

It only gets better for those who have the opportunity to find better circumstances. That's a minority.

  • @KapStuf

The true message is that it *can* get better, and you have the means of making this happen. That includes removing yourself from environments where hateful cretins reign, moving out on your own, changing jobs/locations. You will never find a city where no one accepts you. Or, if this is the case, it is not because you're LGBTQ, but because of something else.

  • @infideluxe So the apparent, weak message is 'it will get better...eventually'.

But the real message behind it is the even weaker 'it might get better, eventually, if you search around for long enough, always assuming you have the opportunity to do so'.

There isn't even the hope that haters can learn not to hate - only that they can be escaped, maybe. If that's the best gay people are being asked to accept, it's pathetic.

  • @KapStuf

"So the apparent, weak message is 'it will get better...eventually'."

No. It's "it can get better." "Eventually" is irrelevant.

"There isn't even the hope that haters can learn not to hate."

That isn't quite true, as people can and do change, if not within one person's lifetime (which does happen), than over generations. If this was not the case, the progress that has already been made would never have happened. Open your eyes.

The older generation will eventually disappear.

  • @infideluxe ""Eventually" is irrelevant."

Ah, so waiting 25 years for things to get better is the same as waiting till you've finished your exams.

"people can and do change...within one person's lifetime...than over generations."

They can get better, or worse. Every advance can be lost.

"The older generation will eventually disappear."

You seem to be under the impression that gay people are eternally young and infinitely patient.

  • Oh and the guy on the left in 3:03 is haaaawt.

  • It's kinda nice to live in Scandinavia 'cos nobody really cares if you're straight or not.

  • I want the android shirt!!

  • I want one of those shirts

  • hhahaahahah, apples video is better! ha Iphone forever

  • @richardb2837 omg u have no life do u u have to try and start a flam war ur sad

  • @freddykrueger971 whateva iphone is best and their video

  • @richardb2837 no one give a shit hear this vid is help ppl and u go and try and start a flame war u need a life. if i need to no apply don't make there own stuff there steal it just like Microsoft do the iPad was fist made in 2001 the iPhone was fist made in 1999 the iPod was fist made in 2000 not by apply by random people

  • @freddykrueger971 ur stupid af u have such a big reaction, ur a flameer, thats why ur own community shuns you, thats lame probably cause ur a fem!

  • @richardb2837 omg cant u spell now say all that again but with no fuck up spelling

  • It's still impressive how almost 5% of people who voted don't like this video that is simply a message of love and hope. And probably others don't even watch it to avoid this topic. I'm Brazilian and we have high rate of murders of homosexuals and few people here stand up to talk about it.

  • @schuuichiminamino

Many people seethe when their perceived superiority is threatened. This happens when they see that the people they held as inferior are actually being treated as equals, and that they are achieving great happiness and satisfaction in life.

  • @schuuichiminamino I think not only here in Brazil but also in Argentina, from 50 to 60 % people don't support gay rights. I feel an increasing hate here despite legalization of same sex union in Brazil and same sex marriage in Argentina. I'm trying to be optimistic, but it's more and more difficult. I cannot think of brazilian homosexuals yet sharing their hope and experiences on tv. Actually from 250 to 300 muders happened last year and... people 'agree'

  • @schuuichiminamino I've had partners with hundreds of times the amount of views that I get admitting to MASS sock account assistance.

  • Go google. I want one of those shirts!!!!

  • If there is someone who doesn't want to accept you for who you realy are, he is not worth being close to you.. No matter who you are, where you live, you are worth having good supporting people around you.. And you have them.. Just don't be affraid to reach for them.. You're not alone and you can make it. It realy gets better.. I myself was pretty miserable at high school.. I was afraid to tell anyone.. And now I am 25 living with my boyfriend for 5 years, having dog, flat, job.. It gets better!

  • :) nice

  • @DaMagicConchShell

There are tons of people who date and marry transexual people, fully knowing who they are. You're not one of them. Your personal disgust gives you no credence, nor any clout in venting fallacious generalizations about transexual people.

  • i dont come out to people. i mean if it comes up in conversation then yeah ill say im gay.

but i dont make a big deal out of it... not because im scared or ashamed , but because i dont look at it as something that i feel that i NEED to tell people.

  • Thank you Google.

  • I like the Google tees!

  • so if i worked at google, i'd be the token pussy lover?

  • A few things in this video really hit me... like, when the guy said his brother hugged him when he came out to him, I tried coming out to him and he laughed at me like I was joking. Then it sunk in and he and I don't really get along. I am growing in a very homophobic family, and I don't have the heart to say "I'm gay" because hell, we've already had a lot happen. So I just am waiting for things to get better. And hopefully it wont be much longer..

  • i don't even have friends to rely on :(

  • Beautifully Done.. so many bright and successful young people =D

  • No respect to Google for this. No respect at all. This is an effort to revive their failed reputation. Want to know everything?

  • Tammy the tranny , ctfu :D

  • This is exactly why I am so loyal to Google and Google products. . .great stuff people!

  • OMFG! Google is my company for life....I devote myself to them, just why can't I work for them....WHHHHYYY....

  • ugh, I can't express how much I love this video!

  • Eric & Scotty are so freaking cute!

Nerd or not Eric is just so freakin cute!

  • I'm gay, 21 living in new Zealand. It's tough, but I have the most amazing friends. I work in a strip club surrounded by the most beautiful young women who love me for who I am. I promise you this, it DOES get better, there are always going to be hard days and there are times that you will just want to be alone, but that's okay. At the end of the day somebody does love you and you just have to keep being strong and not give up hope. Life is never predictable, just keep your head up and do the b

  • does it get better? ... i like what all these people say and that they try to help... i'm not a teenager anymore... i was never bullied for being gay... but i will never fit in in the world i do wanna fit in... i know that you might not like what i'm writing here... but.. the reality is that it probably won't get better... and there's no glee-like blaine anderson who can save me.. is there anyone who understands what i mean or feels alike?

  • @MrTheWayfarer it does gets better eventually , some friends of mine from youth LGBT community told me about their journey that are gets better some started from highschool , some after they finished uni or some in their 30s , the time is different from one to another but it does gets better , hang in there mate , if you talk about relationships then my experiences tell me that there are too many a**holes in this world but your friends will always come and help you

  • @MrTheWayfarer I understand very much what you're saying. One word I would have for homophobia in today's world is ' RELENTLESS' . I constantly come across situations where I meet it, be it Homophobia LITE (e.g. str8 educated liberals making sure everyone knows they are not gay, even though they be supportive of gay marriage vs 'you will go to hell' kind) I feel extremely fatigued mentally from it...I'm sick of it... and I'm only 22...

  • @MrTheWayfarer

"but.. the reality is that it probably won't get better... "

You're mistakenly generalizing your personal experience as everybody else's. The truth is that it does get better for multitudes of people. A person needs to take action and take risks. Perhaps you have not? I don't know, but it's worth remembering that if you're miserable, you can do something about it. The worst thing you can do, however, is to try to bring others into your misery.

  • @infideluxe So when someone questions your message of faint hope, you moralise at them - that they're not 'taking risks' and they're 'bringing others down'.

There's another group who substitute moralising for reason. Remenber who they are?

  • Amazing .... Keep up the good work ;)

  • That Asian guy is soooooo cute! :)

  • Just jump right to 3:22 that's when it get's better LOL

  • Thank you I was bullied and I almost killed myself but I realized I had something to live I'm glad there are people like you my friend is a lesbian and it is hard for her but I help her even I'm straight thank you

  • Thank you

  • this made my day.

  • I'd really like to know who the 536 people are who hit the dislike button this video. Seriously, where does that kind of hate even come from?

  • @dlohse I guess that you can easily find 536 homophobic, close-minded, religious people to press the dislike button in such a great and encouraging video! :/

  • Screw Bing.

  • @2:23 Totally my type hehehe :)

  • what about the others, that do not have this POZitive message to share-it still is NOT better. I sit and contemplate.

I will be 50 March 25th. I was told in 1984 i had the "gay mens' disease" in 1994 full blown aids.

I am currently unemployed 3 years I have had NO insurance for the longest time, NO meds, NO social security, NO disability, and a very LONG and TRUE life story, that NO one cares about as I wait to die, pain MORE hope an NO one to LOVE me. better may only come in death.

  • @2:56 the guy on the left is hot

  • That guy that said he grew up with for brothers and alll that other bull... I have four brothers and its not like that fucking liar

  • @moyisbick how do you know it's not like that? Did YOU grow up in HIS skin?

  • @moyisbick Because clearly everyone's brothers' are government issue genetic clones, so there couldn't be any different experiences. Psh, that would be STOO-PID.

  • I'm gonna be real im 15 and im soo confused I hate myself cause whither I wanna face it or not my sexual orientation is not regular I play football and all that other shit to try and hide who I am cause I hate it I feel like why did God have to put me through this why he made me this way already knowing my harsh situation my moms in jail my dads dead my grandmothers on drugs and now this shut about me being gay fucking great

  • @josiahgobert Hi. Maybe it's not my business, but I just can't stand to see someone in such pain. It is perfectly fine to be attracted to men, women, or anything in between. You are who you are and you are perfect at being that. Do you like football? Being gay, bi, or anything else shouldn't stop you from doing what you like, but if you don't I'd drop the team. It'll only make you unhappier. (Continued next)

  • @josiahgobert I'm so sorry to hear about your mum, dad, and grandma. Yes, people will hate you. They'll judge you and tease you, but they're so small. Once you're out of high school, you never have to see them again. "Always say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

  • Is Google selling those Android shirts? I want one! :)

  • @asdf90091 They sell them on the Google store. Google "android pride shirt". First link.

  • I WANT ONE OF THOSE SHIRTS!

  • this touches me couse in the maddness of the world and all the sadness theirs always a light that shine for you as a person. its all about love and love is pure.

  • 6:09 the best part of the video

  • I'm living proof that suicide is not the way, and that it does get better. If you're ever feeling unloved and unwanted; remember, I'll love you, no matter your flaws, I'll be here for you all.<3

  • I know the whole video tells a very important story and I'm not trying to diminish the message but at 6:29 total cuteness overload.

  • Wait... is this video older than the Gayglers one?

Tammy (the woman at 1:25) had a very different hairstyle in the other video.

  • My name is daniel , im gay 14 year old , i struggle with cutting and sucidial thoughts and the driver that makes me do it is that i allways think about finding love , telling my parents im gay but it allways seems hard. i see a boy i like at school , i don't know if hes gay or not , i can't really know but it allways breaks my heart knowning i will never find a love at this age and i just get out my pain on myself.. well thanks for reading hope it helps other people who is struggling.bad english

  • @MrSaintBetch You should never hurt yourself. You are beautiful, and you will find someone someday who will see just how beautiful you are. Life will be rough, and there's no getting around that, but all the shit you go through will be worth it for the happiness you will feel. Love yourself first, and only then will you be able to love someone else and they will love you. You're only 14... I'm 18 and have never been kissed. Don't worry. Someone is out there for you. Hope that helps. :)

  • @StardustBeatle1039 Thank you so much i really admire you for even replying cause i really needed that, coming out will be hard for me my sister and dad are homophobics i really don't know what is gonna happen in 3 or 2 years..Thanks again.

  • @MrSaintBetch I'm glad I could help, even if it's just in a small way... I know I'm a complete stranger, but if you want you can always send me a message if you feel like you can't talk to anyone about being gay. It really does get better. I promise. :)

  • @MrSaintBetch Hey there :) , if you'd like to chat sometime just drop me a message ( I'd be happy to help you out if possible as I went through the exact same thing ( And still AM going through that ) I'm 18 and i'd really love to help you :)

  • the transgender girl is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute

  • бье!

  • It is so nice to see gay software engineers and the like. A good portion of my dread growing up was seeing gays fulfilling occasionally interesting, though always useless, roles like hair dressers and actors. Never heard about people like Alan Turing.

  • Thank you. I cried when I saw this. I was saved from suicide once and this made me sure that it was a miracle and I could've thrown away the best life ahead of me

  • i think it is harder on gay guys than lesbians

  • I love these videos, but I hate that they need to be made...

  • So much respect to Google for this. :)

  • just be what you want to be. fuck the rest, life is to short to worry about the rest of the world

FYI i am straight and loving it ;)

  • @prodotti2 FUCK YOU GAY PPL ROCK

  • @prodotti2 easy for you to say

  • My girlfriend was about to kill herself and she put it off and I was going to run away but I put it off.... the next day we met each other. We've been together for a year now. Keep hanging on. It gets better. <3

  • Unfortunate, but I tried to kill myself, almost did, and then my family hated my guts when I told them. Not much of a life right now.

  • @consult81 I know it probably seems really hard, especially now, but your family can never really hate you. You are a part of them and no matter what hurtful things they may say now, they will come around and realize that you are the same person they have always loved. And even if they don't come around, there are so many other people out there in this world who will love you for who you are, not what society dictates as being right or wrong. I used to always think I would be alone

  • @consult81 and that my life would be miserable and my family would always hate me. And for awhile my family couldn't understand me and things were hard, but as time went on they began to realize that I am still the same boy they knew and loved all along. And I even met someone and have had the most amazing two years with him now and I can honestly tell you. It does get better.

  • I told my parents a week ago that i was gay, they looked at me and said:"And?" it made me feel me feel so better with myself! :D

It really does get better, day by day, and i'm living it! :D

    STAY STRONG!

  • "Dont be evil" You go google! :)

  • Even though I don't believe in gay right, I don't think anything bad about gay.

  • @merlan114 i don't understand? how is it possible to not think anything bad about gay people and still believe they shouldn't have the same rights as heterosexuals?

by definition, if you think someone shouldn't have the same rights as someone else, you think something bad about that one.

  • @sayuriidoya I meant to say even though I don't believe in gay rights, I will RESPECT other opinions not not go around condemn others for their opinions just because I don't believe in the same ideology as you!

  • @merlan114 I don't condemn you. I just try to understand it. Because for me it just seems impossible to not want to give someone the same rights as others have, but don't think anything bad about them.

I mean what are other reasons to deny someone rights others have.

But maybe I'm wrong. I don't know everything, I just want to learn.

  • @merlan114 That makes no sense and you're opinion is evil

  • @merlan114 You need to learn what gay rights are. This means not getting attacked for being gay, being hated, and given the same opportunities as straight people. That's what you apparently don't believe in.

  • ive told my cousin most of my close friends and today i told my sister in law :) working my way up! :)

  • Still hve not told my parents.

  • @SuperMusicCrazed You should go for it! I just came out to my sister yesterday and it went great. I even recorded it.

I'm going to hopefully tell my parents within the next week.

  • I love the face of the blond guy on 5:41, he's about to smile, but is a serious moment, so he better not hahahahaha

  • How can somebody hate these people?? Their so NICE!!

  • Gay... In a good way of course =)

  • Google FTW.

  • I'm not bullied but after hearing these stories I want to make sure no one gets bullied because of their sexual orientation. I want to start a gay-straight alliance, but I don't know exactly how to get started. Do any of you have any ideas? I'm bisexual by the way.

  • @MrWorldwideCitizen If there are any LGBTQ instructors at your school, talk to them about it. I'm sure they would be more than willing to start something up. When I was in high school a student who was gay partnered up with a teacher who was a lesbian and they started a GSA. Without it I don't think I would be who I am today.

  • @Jessolor Wow ok thanks once we get it going do you mind helping me out with ideas if i get stuck?!
