  • imagine how ackward it would be if ventura actually answered the question

  • I think the reason why Jesse paused for a few after what Gorilla said was because he was trying not to laugh.Jesse laughed a few times during he and Gorilla's days as commentates.Great Stuff!!!

  • The script writers were good in those days.

  • (awkward pause)...and here comes Brutus!!

  • ....."and here comes Brutus" LMAO! Will you stop!

  • Gorilla-Jesse greatest PPV broadcast team of all time. Gorilla-Bobby greatest OVERALL broadcast team of all time.

  • The day Gorilla retired from in-ring competition, wrestling gained the greatest commentator of all time! The day he died, wrestling lost one of their finest and most important personalities. So important that he was Vince Sr.'s pick to take over WWWF.

  • @DJCandyManMike really?!....hmmm would we still have had wrestlemania?

  • @LSSJBardock

That's a very good question. I think the large pay-per-view that we now know as Wrestlemania was pretty much Vince Jr.'s brain child. As much as I despise Vince Jr., he is a genius when it comes to marketing. But yeah, Vince Sr. wanted Gorilla Monsoon to succeed him as owner of the company, but he gave his son one chance to buy it. Vince Jr. even said his dad would have never sold him the company had he known what his plans were for it.

  • @DJCandyManMike so we would have had something like WM but not as effective? i know that monsoon would push mostly the new guys, unlike vince who would just focus on the already big stars. But i guess we will never know.

  • @LSSJBardock

Well, here is one thing we can be sure of - if there had been a pay-per-view like Wrestlemania without Vince Jr., it wouldn't have been the nationwide phenomenon we know it as today. Don't forget that when Vince Sr. ran the show, the business was still in the territorial days, and that was how he would have preferred to keep it. It was Vince Jr.'s idea to do away with the territories and expand his father's company to the national level. Gorilla probably wouldn't have done that.

  • I agree, I prefer Jesse-Gorilla but Bobby-Gorilla will always be a close second, and more known since Bobby is much more in the WWe fold. Jesse still called it as a quasi-sport, giving actual insight to strategy if it were a real sport. Plus he was just awesome rooting for the heels but if you notice, he's almost always fair in that he'll point out when gorilla puts down a heel for doing something a babyface just did(miss the tag, foreign object etc)

  • GO GORILLA! You're the greatest of all time. RIP.

  • Classic Gorilla

"What do you have of your own Jess?"

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Hahaha

  • I agree that Monsoon + Ventura were the greatest color men to ever announce in wrestling. Too bad that Jesse went into politics, which is nowhere as good as wrestling.

  • This was the final time Gorilla and The Body announced together. They've done it for 6 years. That's all it took to make that team untouched.

  • God I miss these guys commenting. They actually had personalities. AND in ring experience.

Heenan and Gorilla together was hilarious too!! And McMahon and Jessie.... Nostalgiamania!!!

  • @superfatamusic I <3 Nostalgiamania!!!

  • LOL

    response fail

  • some of the most over used phrases in wrestling history:

    "right in the bread basket"

    "what a fountain of misinformation"

"without a shadow of a doubt"

"the grandest stage of them all"

  • @akuma4u You left out "He's wearing the Crimson Mask", "He's busted wide open", "Batten down the hatches" and my personal favorite, "A miscarriage of justice".

  • @elc1960 true say i had a mind block at the time,.. here are some more "the irresistable force meeting the immovable object" "jam packed to the rafters" "right in the piturbural metachondral dorsi (or any other long medical name for a muscular group)"

  • @akuma4u Thanks! Truly a visit to "Cliche City"!

  • @elc1960 haha ya man we gotta start to incorporate these phrases into our daily lives seriously i used bread basket once and people starting laughing so much..

  • @akuma4u Every time someone says "Will you stop", somewhere a gorilla gets his wings.

  • Best color commentary in tv history period!

  • lmao

    "...and here comes Brutus..."

    Classic

  • "WILL YOU STOP?"

  • They were literally hanging from the rafters at the Skydome for Wrestlemania VI as the World Wrestling Federation was the Mecca of professional wrestling..

  • these two commentators cracked me up, sometimes the color commentaries were better than the matches!

  • @jamminjackhammer,

    You've got that right!!

  • and here come Brutus

  • woooooooo, Brutus is looking good!

  • Lol, Jessie had no comeback! It's not easy to shut Jessie up, his mouth being so big, but Gorill could do it! Xpander, I totally agree.

  • Gorilla's best words (not used here, unfortunately) were..."WILL YOU STOP??"

    Should be on his tombstone!

  • Heheh

I use that one with my little boy

  • @knightryderrwn

LOL indeed, loved when he said that. Miss you Gorilla.

  • @Vladimast,

I agree - and when Bobby "The Brain" Heenan finally passes away, I can just see him getting to heaven, ranting about Hulk Hogan and the "humanoids," and Gorilla will be standing at the Pearly Gates and yell, "FOR GOD'S SAKE, BRAIN, WILL YOU STOP??!!??"

  • I think Heenan will remain on earth until Hogan finally dies. That man followed Hulk across companies just to keep hating on him, theres no way some petty shit like death is gonna keep Heenan from seeing Hogan bite the dust.

  • @xDurandalx,

You know, I never thought of that, but you've got a point there!! :)

  • @xDurandalx no shit, yo i was thinking that the other day even when hogan turned NWO he was still hatin on him! bobby never gave hogan a sec. of glory.

  • @targa818 Not necessarily true, Hogan wrote the foreword to Heenan's autobiography "Bobby The Brain".

  • @elc1960

  • Along with "WILL YOU BE SERIOUS!" and "GET A LIFE, BRAIN!" lol

  • @JPThunder01,

    Good point!

  • lmao! I can't believe Jesse was silenced!

  • WILL YOU STOP!!

  • lol pwned

  • I miss Monsoon :(

  • Yes....I do too. Greatest commentator in professional wrestling history. Period.

  • LOL silenced !

  • lol. "What do you got on your own."

    ".... and here comes brutes."

    2nd favortie commentary pair

    1st being Gorilla and Brian.

  • Gorilla and Brian? I hope you meant to say Gorilla and Brain.

  • nope.he means b. brian blair

the best at commentary and getting humbled by iron sheik

    (oh yeah,he never did commentary)
