I had the 'Friend of P' tape single (yes, tape) that this was on. It is not on the CD single, which I currently own. I sent the tape to this girl I met on AOL in 1996 in hopes that she would "get it". What a mistake. I'd kill (her) to get that tape back.

I remember being so bummed out that the Rentals did their first show at the Casbah, as I was under 21 at the time. Had it been at the Soma, I would have been first in line.
This was from their very first show at the Casbah in San Diego. They'd never played until AFTER the first album came out. This pre-"Cruise". Much better methinks. ONe of my big faves.
cruise had the intensity, and was such a vivid song. plus it added to the barcelona feel the whoel 7mm album had. so i guess i like "The cruise" better

I like Seven's "Cruise" better, myself. But, I'll take any and all of The Rentals I can get.
