  • looks like a Focusrite console

  • WHAT A JOB!!!! Awesome!

  • what an awsome place!!!

  • Mad scientists at work.

  • Lordy lord! That room looks like it was an old cathedral! What a studio, I'm impressed. I've been to some really nice studios, but if I walked in there I'd have an epileptic seizure in my pants! Has anyone owned or extensively used both Superior Drummer 2 and Steven Slate Drums 3? I'd appreciate if anyone who has experience with both would compare Superior Drummer to SSD 3. I own and enjoy SSD, but I've read this software is as good as it gets for acoustic sampled drums. Anyone want to confirm?

  • "Play your best Bonham.." How about..."wear your best hoodie, look engaged in your work, and most of all...Make sure like you look like you're getting paid."

  • @itowedin You mean the producer?

  • "Play your best Bonham..." These are guys that are just screwing off, that know the formulas for sound. There is nothing cerebral or musical about calling someone "bro" at any point in a professional transaction. "We're going for velocity now..." Weak.

It sounds great, but you didn't need the posing guys in too tight shirts around their pelvis, acting authoritarian around some drummer trying to do the best at what he was already pre-qualified for. Useless....

  • @itowedin do I hear a slight bit of jealousy for these guys' jobs in your comments?

  • @redefn199 Nope. I make a living as a songwriter and teacher. I do what I love and occaisionally run into "Johnny Hollywood" types like these guys that are the ugly side of the industry. Uglier than attorneys.

  • @itowedin I do believe you're as ignorant as they come. These professionals do this for a living. It's their job to make sure that they catch every little sound in every possible way they can. Now, you also called these guys "Johnny Hollywoods." They've been in the industry for quite a long while my friend. They've earned what they have and what they're doing with ToonTracks is nothing short of amazing. They're bridging the gap in creating quality studio tracks.

  • @TechNMusic I don't care man. Go be Johnny Chat Room Hero to someone else. The product is great and I use it but this was a bad production. First amendment. Suck it.

  • @itowedin They're doing this so that the little man isn't so little any more. Now, talented musicians can actually work with affordable equipment without having to pay for the $1000 that would get someone mediocre studio time. You're attacking guys who had a vision and succeeded in accomplishing that vision. Instead of being an egotistical jerk, try appreciating the work they are doing.

  • Does anybody know a web site offering SD presets (not other kits, but settings like EQ, mixing, etc.), to get it to sound like popular kits, like Neil Peart's kit on "Moving Pictures", or Phil Collins' on "We Can't Dance"?

  • Spettacolo

  • The whole building in a studio with 100s of different timbres. Amazing!

  • When you die and go to heaven this is where you land. :)

  • badass studio..

  • I want to record my demo there

  • What a great recording studio, I would make it as my Home and keep on playing those drums when Zombies come to attack me..

  • What a beautiful Studio building that was. I would have loved to go in there for a week or so and just sit down and write and take in the summer air up there. If I was a millionaire I'd recreate that studio building. Anyways Toontrack guys this video was really cool , kinda puts a face and adds life to your software if you know what I mean, I dunno I just feel more connected with a real kit and real studio gear with this product, thanks for all the work guys you Fucking ROCK! Cheers, IC

  • what was the first cymbal they play? "alot of stuff in that cymbal"?

  • wow!!! Gorgeous equipments and place! and happy working guys.

  • that studio is amazing!!!!

  • how the hell do you control reverb in a room that huge?!?!?!

  • PLEASE HELP ME I´M A DRUMMER ,. AND I WANTED TO INSTALL THE SUPERIOR DRUMMER ONLY. I DOWNLOADED THE FULL PROGRAM WITH THE TOONTRACK SOLO AND INSTALLED THE SP AND ITS SOUND SOFT. BUT I CAN´T RUN IT . WHEN I OPEN THE TOONTRACK SOLO IT ASK ME TO LOAD A PROJETC ( WHICH I DON´T KNOW WTF IT MEANS) AN THEN IT SAYS " FAILED TO OPEN DRUMMER LIBRARY) PLEASE HELP ME . P.S YOU´RE ONE HELL OF A DRUMMER

  • @garfunkel1234 You Need To Run It Within A Digital Audio Software host (for example Logic, ProTools, Cubase, or any of the compatible ones you can look them up on the Toontrack Website

  • Drumming is the business and the business is good.

  • It seem that another great studio is now closed, it kind of reminded me "Le Studio" in Quebec up north in the laurentien landscape where Rush recorded all the greatest album back then. With the evolution of technologie it's hard to keep those big studio alive... What a shame!

  • To bad Allaire is closed :( What an amazing studio it was

  • 5.47 so zeppelin!!!!!!!!ehehhehe...toontrack rules for sure!!!!!i m on superior + metal foundry these days can't wait yeahhhhh!!!!:-)is there a black album(metallica enter sandman style) like preset in any expansion???

  • fattest kit ever

  • that room is MASSIVE! i cant image what the room mics must sound like... phasing issues like WOAH.

  • @Buhzie15 doubt that.. looks like well treated environment.

  • @pramodmeee true true... i wouldn't wanna be the one to hang those baffles up in the ceiling. haha

  • 0:26 Did you say "Fucking" ?... Oh no, Im not gonna buy anything from a company that has this kind of employees

  • @mqmqmwmw HAHAHAHAH!! XD that's FUCKING funny =P

  • Thrall Hall, my brothers.

  • what is the cymbal Nir uses ? it sounds amazing

  • @afromoz looks like a Paiste Signature..not sure though

  • @afromoz The pictures on his site show him together with different kits, and the cymbals are collection ofsabain cymbals, one of them kinds there vault. But it's not sure he uses them here

  • i wonder how much security is needed for that studio :O

  • @SabianTamaDrummer Looks like its a $100million studio..

  • can i move in please?

  • @SabianTamaDrummer me too!!!

  • All that for drums? ya know i get cooler sounds off a boom boxx.. geeks with money to burn..

  • @pleasantstreetmafia

    Stupid F.ck

  • thats funny ,,,, because in my opinion as well as some of my professional co-workers... the highlight of Superior Drummer are the cymbals

  • I have mixed feelings about SD2.0 ... for one thing the crashes are really dissapointing. Also all the snares sound dark.

  • Well fix it. They are raw. Use some EQ and EQ the overheads, put some reverb on the snare and bring the bottom mic down in the mix. Put some compression on the top mic but not too fast to kill the transients, if need be, dub the snare with another snare sound on the keyboard.

  • This video is just a glimpse of the far improved sound samples of SD2, compared to the EZ line. This is a truer VST...

  • uhm.. all that money and they can´t tune the kick-drum? everything else sounds great XD

  • Yeah,THEY are the problem(one of the best drummer/sound engineers) ,NOT your ears.

  • those types of kick drums, the big ones like 26" are never tuned in a muffle tone, cuz if u have a 26" bass drum it's often because you want a big boomy bonham sound.

  • From my understanding, Superior Drummer 2.0 is the upgraded version of Ez Drummer and is supposed to be way better.

  • Superior Drummer is designed for drummers with electronic drumkits. EZ Drummer is for people who want to make realistic beats.

  • no it isnt superior drummer is the upgraded version of ez drummer.

  • I have superior drummer and I dont have an electronic kit

  • can you use MIDI drums to pass thru Superior drummer and make them sound realistic?

  • Yes And They Sound Pretty Top Notch But It Also Depends On The Electric Kit.

  • If you have a DAW with a piano roll and VST capabilities.

  • Oh yeah?How is that?

  • wtf is the 1st 2 minutes all about?

  • multi-billion worth studio 0of my dreams.... very lucky people!!!!! please tell me how to get one like this ?! :(

  • Easy... You won't :)

  • o really? i wont.?! :( hahha .. shit i could easily rob this place and take all vintage stuff then sale it! lots of money! now its time to start my own recording company... fuck u rich people u have alot more then u need! SO KEEP IT TO ONE PEACE OF EVERYTHING PLEASEEE OR I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU

  • Anyway...

  • win the lottery

  • 3:12 ... neat little finger cross-stick trick!

    7:40 ... I want THAT kick sound!

  • I'm going to buy this! Great job!!

  • that snare sounds like a beast!
