@bapple1 lol why??? For $15,000 I rather get an sti. an R32 just looks like a GTi. STi is better built to. I have an mk4 right now with an r32 body kit. Besides the engine everything is the same, same interior, same exterior everything. I love the STi a lot more. However i love the mk4 just to cruise in it, but I would never justify paying over $15,000 for an R32 over an STi. I know a lot of people that are R32 owners on vwvortex forums that actually recommended an Evo or an STi over their R32's

uhh... you're not getting it are you - if you jus refer to it as a gti you could be referring to more than one car. if you didnt know by now theres a polo gti, lupo gti as well as golf gti, therefore you cant jus refer to it as a gti or volkswagen gti cos then you could be referring to any of the 3 cars....
so going back to what i'm trying to say is - it should be pronounced golf/rabbit r32 with golf being the base model and r32 being the trim!!

The Lupo and Polo GTI's are also so different in body style to the Golf variation, it's hard to mistake. You can see the car right in front of you and know what it is, so why the hell does it matter?

uhh....because the R32 is so unlike it's base model it's funny. It's like an entirely different car.
Same as most people just say GTI rather than Golf GTI. GTI is an entirely different model.
