Be warned that Huckabee is a master deceiver with his words! Go to his website and in #3 he states 120 days for illegals to register and go back home. In #9 he says that he wants to speed up(days not weeks) immigration process so people can share in the "American Dream" = citizenship.

I try not to take a "collectivist" approach to life but more an "individualist" approach. It would bother me if I felt they could influence the individual I was supporting. After studying Dr Paul's past and how the lobbyist avoid him because he stands on his principles not on the trends of politics, I doubt he will change for these extreme groups. The only thing broken with immigration law is the enforcement of illegal immigration at our borders and in our nation. So securing the borders is the begging steps we should make, and rounding up illegal immigrants and sending them back to the country they left is the final step that needs to be taken. Huckabee is not going to lower taxes he is going to raise taxes!!!

I've also seen that Huckabee supporters are claiming that Arkansas wanted him to increase taxes. That's simply not true. Be warned that Huckabee is a master deceiver with his words! Go to his website and in #3 he states 120 days for illegals to register and go back home. In #9 he says that he wants to speed up(days not weeks) immigration process so people can share in the "American Dream" = citizenship.

We have to be extremely skeptical of the politicians and the ideals they speak of. What they say can be sweet to our ears, but "truthfully" be poisoned candy. I try not to take a "collectivist" approach to life but more an "individualist" approach. It would bother me if I felt they could influence the individual I was supporting. After studying Dr Paul's past and how the lobbyist avoid him because he stands on his principles not on the trends of politics, I doubt he will change for these extreme groups. The only thing broken with immigration law is the enforcement of illegal immigration at our borders and in our nation. So securing the borders is the begging steps we should make, and rounding up illegal immigrants and sending them back to the country they left is the final step that needs to be taken. We can probably go one step further and hand them an application to fill out when they get to their country of origin... but it should stop there.

The earth is cyclical dumbass. As the oceans get colder, they absorb more co2; warming less. When we co though cold periods, it tends to cycle back to slightly colder times. Did you know 1 volcano eruption can account for more than 1/2 the co2 weve created? Pretty freaky how things work, eh? Our economy has rapidly grown in the last 5 years, then kinda did a nose dive in the last few months, we are almost at the point of ZERO RETURN.
As for the constitution are you kidding its gone, you have no right to a trial, the government owns you. and we are doing better then 75 % of the world? ha well i guess since your counting Africa, and south America filled with 3rd world country then yes we are doing better then them, how about 1st world country's?

When someone can show me a computer model that can accurately model the past (without fudged data) and show me how it applies to the future, I remain on the side of "we don't have any clue what's going to happen."

Perhaps(low, some say 30+)11 million i.a. might affect our economy? Poverty -they get big pay? Unpaid medical costs raise costs for us. Wealth? Go get it. Watch MSNBC's The Big Idea. They've had immigrants on - now millionaires. *THEY* weren't whining. Rich people should forcibly donate to us - aka stealing. Even extra wear and tear on EVERYTHING in the US adds up. By reducing illegal immigration you can increase allowed legal immigration because there is much more capacity for that to take place then with Illegal Immigrants filling school, hospitals, and entry employment.
Also when he says focus on legal immigration, i think he is clearing up that he is for legal immigration and doing whatever he can to make that a successful endeavor, the #1 threat to immigration is illegal immigration.

After going through Bush, I don't feel that Huckabee will follow up with what he says... and according to his record he likely won't. His empathetic approach is way too much like Bill Clinton. Intellectually he's no different than any of the other frontrunners except with one liners. He doesn't even have delegates if he wins 95% of the popular vote he woulds till lose. Why can't people see that he's running for vice president?

The truth of the matter is he raised taxes over all. His $844mil surplus is prof of his excessive taxation ideas (it was a forced loan on the citizens of his state with no form of interest payment or compensation for borrowing it). 90 small non important taxes doesn't justify the MEGA tax that was placed on other more important things such as Fuel(more tax on diesel then on gas, great fair/flat tax record). Huckabee is not going to lower taxes he is going to raise taxes!!!

I've also seen that Huckabee supporters are claiming that Arkansas wanted him to increase taxes. That's simply not true. It highlights the fact that he LIED about the '99 tax increase that he's claiming that 80% of the people of Arkansas voted for. We didn' t vote on a tax. We voted on a BOND ISSUE. Huckabee signed the tax into law himself, which he has repeatedly lied about.

He is by no means a liberal in any sense of the word. Huckabee cut taxes and fees over 90 times during his ten and a half years as governor, saving the people of Arkansas almost $380 million. When he left office, Arkansas had over $800 million in state surplus, which he believes should go back to the people in the form of either a tax rebate or tax cut.

He does NOT support amnesty my friend. His plan puts forth a 120-day window to register with the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services and leave the country. Those who register and return to their home country will face no penalty if they later apply to immigrate or visit; those who do not return home will be, when caught, barred from future reentry for a period of 10 years. This procedure is highly effective in other countries that use it.

How has he "rewarded" bad behavior? He sternly punished visa violators AND illegal aliens in a 1998 Executive Order that denounced AND heavily fined businesses in Little Rock that were hiring illegal aliens. Check it out for yourself in any of AR's media archives. He also pressured senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor to vote "No" on the 2007 Amnesty Bill proposed by the Democrats and fostered by the Bush administration. He's a staunch conservative.

"The Secure America Plan" which details his 9-point plan. His promises to crack down on employers, build a fence, and bolster the border patrol are all nullified by positions number 3 and 9. He is advocating the 'touch back' provision which was a trick fielded by the supporters of the failed "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" amnesty bills in the U.S. Senate this year...
