I really don't see any purpose to using less heat. Having to adjust the flame to a lesser heat flame takes time, plus it would take longer to apply the stringers with less heat. When in production mode saving time is pretty important.
It sounds as though your mic boost is off in your windows sound mixer, or the connection for your mic is loose, you can take some foam and wrap the mic to reduce some of the poping and try positioning it below your mouth but closer maybe.
great vid though :) i need to get back into makin these (holidays have been hectic)
@bzglass I usually have mine cranked to full, play with it using windows sound recorder (start>all programs>accessories>Sound recorder) to find the right level that doesn't give you an excesive amount of oversample (pops and breathing) while still providing good vocal clarity.
I didn't even realize that I was subscribed to you when I clicked the link on the Melting pot to watch this video. Then I long on to youtube and there is your video again! Haha!
Thanks Acro, I know I it has a terrible audio feed, I haven't figured that part out quite yet. I really wanted to post the video because I am fairly pleased with the footage. I will continue to try and get a better adio feed. I do plan on making many, many more of these.

great video, thanks for making it :-)
you can fix the sound using the freeware
Audicity, it has many filters and can help you
amplify the sountrack,
you won't have to record a new one.
keep on the good work!
