I personally have tried other religions, drugs, crystals, tones, etc. and nothing has filled my heart with peace like Christ! At some point I can understand his decision to stay with the band, cause he wants to reach other people he can influence. But on the other hand, the music that Korn performs is not according to Gods will cause it gives glory to someone else and not God Almighty. Suppose he has one more decision to make...leave the band and start something new, that`s what God and Jesus is all about, Jesus is starting something new in us, but first we have to let go of the old.

We are all fallen, and cannot fulfill the full requirements of The Law (Torah), hence the need for Jesus. You are correct in your assessment of "vain religion", such as that practiced by the hypocrites (Pharisees + Sadducees). Hebrew for "true religion" is baracha:)

The point is that God sent his only son to die for us and he rose from the dead on the third day. It takes faith to believe that and follow the teachings of the bible. I did not choose to follow God because of fear, I chose it because I believe in Love. Anybody who thinks it's based on fear does not know the difference between that and respect.

@ashestoyoursoul You can have faith in anything, therefore Christianity is not faith. It is the belief that Christ is the savior, which comes from the stories (and rules, threats, etc.) in the Bible. Therefore it is a religion. I believe that God IS love, so I believe in love too, but I do not need to believe the story of Christ at all. The Bible makes no logical sense. It tells the story of an evil, egotistical God, which goes against the very idea of God.

@ninjayang There are no threats to get people to believe in Christ. To believe that someone died for your sins when he could have been saved by God, which is the same person as Christ by the way, and to also believe that he rose again takes faith. Your understanding of the bible is warped. If actually understood the scriptures you would know that the bible does present God as love. Read 1 John 4:16 if you don't believe me. @ashestoyoursoul "If you do not accept Christ you will go to Hell for eternity." How do you figure that is not a threat?? So basically you're backing out of this debate because you can't compete with honest logic. Telling me to go read your book. Tell you what. I grew up reading your book, so now you can go watch the movie Religulous to see where your religion really came from, and you can study Eckhart Tolle and Dr. Wayne Dyer to see how to understand God in an honest way. @ninjayang it seems that you don't get it still, that doesn't mean that I'm backing out of this debate at all. Call it a threat if you want but it is the truth, but one should realize that it's not just about not going into hell or making into heaven; it is ultimately, like I stated before, about love and a relationship with God. I pray you will one day understand that.

@ashestoyoursoul If is "ultimately" about love and God, then why do you think you need the other stuff, all the stories, rules, Christ? You sound like you can almost understand what I'm saying, yet you cling to the Christ stuff. You say its the "truth." But every religion would say that, and none can prove it. The story of Christ was copied from other religions that came before it, down to the smallest details.

@ninjayang I can understand what you are saying, but I agree with you. I still stand by my belief that Christ is the only way to heaven. It is not just about rules. Christ formed a new covenant when he died on the cross, whereas before there was animal sacrifice. Christ was not a religious man either, in fact he was against that because he criticized the pharisees. He hung out with sinners. He was a real man, many historians can tell you that.

@ashestoyoursoul EXACTLY. Even if there was a real guy named Christ, he was just a spiritual leader much like the guys I follow today (who quote Christ along with many others). The creators of The Bible said he was a savior because its a great story to sell. If only Christians go to Heaven, then most of God's beloved creations will burn for all eternity. Hardly the image of a loving God that I believe in... Think about it. Satan could not exist unless God gave him the power to be evil.
