    The Ultima has a ridiculous weight advantage, something like +1000lbs lighter with a "similar" engine. The Corvette still wouldn't have a chance unless it was outputting much more power than stock.

Reason it might not sound like he's pushing it, is because it's fully stock.

    i love the ultima gtr,i used to watch these type of cars race, but i never figured one would be able to come in somewhat street form, but id love to see the veyron drop 2,000 lbs, 4000lbs is way too much,but i doubt anyone will do that to their veyron

  • @redghost105 Its a great car, but its an english chassis. A powertrain can be obtained anywhere. An engine is no good unless its in something that can use it. You could use many engines, its just the LS lumps are cheap compared to other power units.

  • I have much respect for the Ultima. On the track this car is fantastic. Considered as a daily driver, no thanks. This car is loud and uncomfortable, I mean, it`s a 100% track car, nothing else. No A/C, no radio, no airbags, no insulation, nothing.

    The vast majority have A/C & mp3 radios (from the 100 or 200 I've seen, anyway).  Maybe about half have insulation...of course this is usually those using it as a daily-driver more than for racing.

  • It also has even more luggage space than the Enzo Ferrari and most similar cars have.

    It has no airbags, but don't need em when you use dual shoulder belts (or at least... So many people survive 200+ mph collisions that FIA, Nascar, etc. have never advantage to airbags over a 5-point harness, including the speed that you can escape a burning car;

    It takes oh, um...5 seconds to push the 2nd shoulder-belt into the cam-lock clip, but I guess if that makes it too unstreetable to ya, Airox... lol.

    Not bad for a car that costs 20 times less (approx. £45k)than a veyron.

    I can't comment on the maintenance costs as I don't know, but neither should you.

  • Hi diowowi...where are you at? Aruba? US? I don't think you're based in Europe. So here's the low down on the Veyron. The car won't be mass produced. The company did it on a 'whim' to see whether they could actually engineer a car with 1001bhp! VW pushed the engineering envelope with new gear box innovation, breaking systems etc! The car is a limited run 'product'. When the orders are filled...then that's it!
