@coylej012 actually, yes it is also a manifestation of behaviour that is divorced from reality, although to a far lesser extent.

I spent several summers in Jerusalem for religious reasons... But the search of truth, which initially led me to become quite religious, also led me to atheism in the end.

When you are given the choice to 'find' the truth and you do so in 'good faith', at it were; you are likely to find that religion makes no sense at all. Though it may take some longer than others.
