I've currently got my Antique Hoover listed on Ebay for $15 plus $40 for shipping fees. It's all original and runs great. 1929-31 I believe. Sale ends in less than a week so sooner is better than later. Just do a search for Hoover 725 as I believe it's the only one currently on the market.
good god, it's lucky she bought that thing cause that filthy bitch had one dirty carpet, that nasty slut - and she needs to come down from floating up in the ceiling and finish the job before her husband comes home and takes a tremendous shit down her throat.
Ive just watched my childhood flood back in this advert reminds me of Sunday mornings when my dad (d 1987) would vacuum the whole house, i would have been about 7 and remember laying on the sofa with the coal fire blazzing away watching this gorgeous vac floating around and my mum would be in the kitchen all day, with her twin tub tackling the wks laundry. wonderful memories lol not sure if my mum and dad would agree though. makes me appriciate how easy our houswork is now days .thanks 4 this
That my favourite hoover-power from 1983 is my antie for house keeper. Sadly, hoover-power has vanish. And they not used that uk anyway that unfortunately. I wish get those of hoover-power for usual anyway. Damn!!!
I just found one of these at the thrift store and almost didn't buy it because the wheels were gone. ha ha ha i'm so glad i got it it floats just great and has t\all the attachments :)
My mother had one of these. She brought it in the 1970's and it lasted 20 good years of hard use until the bearings wore out and one of the windings shorted out which killed it :(. The only thing that wasn't brilliant on it was the hovering feature. It only lasted about 7 years then we had to drag it around.

Why are all the Hoover commercials on youtube from England, what about the numerous ones for the states in the 60's-90's. I dont give a shit about hoovers in England i care about the Hoovers in the USA...
Perhaps because it has something to do with that despite You Tube being an American site, contributors are from ALL parts of the globe - not just the USA??!
It is hard to convince an American that there are other countries in this world. Nice try though! Im wondering what would happen if he clicks on a clip on this site which isnt in English. Deltaboy767'd get a heart attack!
@platovaya Hold it! Don't put all Americans in that lot. We arn't all ignorant like some of the people that post comments. When you say "An American", you sound just as ignorant as deltaboy 767! I get a kick out of you Brits. But when you look down your noses at us Americans, it makes you just as bad!
No problem deltaboy, I don't give a "rats ass" about what you want or think, so I guess that makes us equal.
For the record, as I'm the UK, so I don't have access to any American commercials, you'll have to wait like a good boy until one of your countrymen puts some online.
For my part I'm glad that someone had the foresight to put a commercial -- ANY commercial -- about this fine Hoover vac onto YouTube, preserving it for posterity! Besides, as most collectors know 'til around '95 UK Hoovers and US Hoovers were identical: e.g., their Senior = our Convertible; their Turbopower = our Sovereign, their Convertible = our DAM. The only real difference was in the voltage the machines ran on. So why get into a snit over English vs. US Hoovers? Just doesn't make sense!
@lswrsi Now that i know hoover is British, I understand why they call it Hoovering on the British sit-coms LOL. I'm American, your comedies are so much funnier than american comedies. My favorites are Waiting for God, Are you being served, the one with Hyacinth Bookay, The Vickar of Dibly, To the Manor Born, My Hero, The last of the Summer Wine. I recently got the entire run of As Time Goes By. I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE Judy Dench and Jeffery Palmer. God Save The Queen!
@deltaboy767 It wouldn't have been much different. My parents had a US made version of this. Other than the 120V rating, it was the same damn thing. I don't think Hoover (a British company, I believe) was running adds for this model in the US by 1970, they had moved on to more expensive models. You could still get these in discount stores for about $45, though. They were still more stylish than the boxy, state of the art vacuums of 1970.
@lrd9999 As it turns out, my "belief" was wrong. Hoover was started by an inventor in Canton OH in 1907. Thanks to DJallen234 for posting the video describing this!
I have the updated model of the constellation - the Maytag Sattelite - I recommend them to anyone (although I don't prance through the doorways like this woman does LOL)
I remember my mum having one of these in 'dusky pink' in the 1960s - I'm sure all the small dust particles were blown straight back into the room!
