  • @PARTIETRAU I created the sounds by myself, so these are not pre-sets. Thanx btw!

  • Very nice! I'm thinking of getting one... It seems like a good idea... ;-)

  • good job great sound and composition

    thumbs for you

  • It amazes me that the JP goes for sub £500 these days.

It single handedly created the trance genre.

However it is the most analogue sounding VA ever. I will never ever sell mine!

Excellent demo of this stunning instrument.

I had one of these and replace it with an Alesis ION. The ION can do what this does 50 times better, and has 16 filters to choose from...and 3 oscillators.

  • @SPAZZOID100

Im not doubting as time has gone by even a simple VST can do what the JP does. But in its day it was boss. Like the 303 defined Acid Roland done it again with the JP and Trance was born. Never owned an ION so cannot comment.

  • @kolakube123

I am not concerned with VST's at all, just hardware synths. The JD-800 was a very slept on synth from roland...

  • @SPAZZOID100

JD800? Slept on synth? Sorry I don't follow?

If you don't like the JP why watch a video with it in? I think its a fantastic synth.

Ive owned a load of synths including the JD800 you brought up back in 1993. In my 20 years Ive also owned tons from Jupiter 4s to more recently Andys & Ti's.

I could go on and bore everyone but even after all those hardware' synths (seems thats all you care about?) I still rate the JP.

How many synths can you name that spawned a genre??

  • @kolakube123

What other synths spawned genres? I dunno, how about the 808, 909, & 303 for starters?

Yes...I only care about hardware synths, not VST'S, sorry.

  • @SPAZZOID100

Exactly. Not very many. The 303 and the JP and thats it. So why knock the JP. And why watch a video on it if you dont like it. Whats not to like anyway?

  • Better than Jarre

  • @ondineclaudel Yeh right!

  • Fantastic this sound!!! Very good work of JP8000!
