  • BTW, Pray is not a city in Hungary, but the name of the man who discovered the manuscripts.

  • The L dots and apparent herringbone pattern are certainly suggestive, but I don't accept the 'face image' at 2:20. There's also the issue of why Christ's face is clean-shaven. Wouldn't that detail of the Shroud be far more important to any devotional artist than the existence of burn marks and the type of weave?

  • @JasonRadley -Your right about the pray name.He doesn't stress other important facts though like the body being completely naked or the crossed hands, right over left, or the reversed 3 on the forehead. There are actually two L shaped patterns on the drawing, the other being on the back or lower part of the cloth but not quite a straight. The face image he points to is an anomoly and does not seem to fit in, unless it was meant to mean the face cloth in following scripture. As for the beard con't

  • @JasonRadley-It is quite possible since the beard is quite hard to notice on the Shroud.Actually it depicts Jesus had a short beard, thats exactly what the artist depicted. As it does show a slight beard on the Pray Man.IMHO it almost seems like the artist was far more interested in showing details only found on the Shroud for some reason over other details...it's strange.
