Everyone dissing on the TC if u dont like it dont watch this video, I own one and it drives great stock and much better with a few mods, yeah its not an awesome car in gas mileage but the gas is well worth it. Handling is great compared to the accord, in speed it matches up good with civics and accords, Its not so great in acceleration, but thats what mods are for. One of the best FWD ive driven. Plus its an under the radar car so don't get stopped by cops much which means more MODS!! haha

I am a soon to be freshman college student and it turns out, my parents may be able to grant me a 20k present to buy a new car next year (2011), any difference would be on me + tax. I have narrowed it down to the Scion Tc 2011 or the Mazda 3 2011? I have compared them over and over, htey are pretty much the same in specs. I like the style of the Tc, but the Mazda seems more reliable... HELP....!

I ruled out the lancer, corolla and civic... I may consider the Elantra...

@mythios Mazada 3? or MazadaSpeed3? those are 2 separate cars. the Speed3 has the turbo and thus has more hp. the TC has not been announce a new price nor has there been any REAL specs on it all are primality. wait till auguest to make a more informed decision

@mythios id say get the Elantra Blue if you are a manual type person. Plus Hyundai offers a 10yr/100,000 mile warrenty which is EXTREMELY nice. Also, think the Scion gets better gas mileage than projected and alot more leg room.

@christhomasatanasov I own a 06 Honda Accord Coupe V6 that gets the same gas millage as the tC with 65 more horses....My car handles better and is faster( car and driver)..The tC has the lower sticker price but my car is cheaper to own after 5 years( According to IntteliChoice) my car is more reliable ( JD power..)and more spacious than the tC...There are many better choices then the tC but somehow this car's looks have kept the sales up from below average...

This isnt meant to be a racecar, though its closest competitor from the FWD area is the acura rsx, you cant compare it with a RWD, ya theyre faster, the tc is basically a corolla coupe, with the features of a lexus, for the price of a yaris who can complain

the scion tc has so much potential. People in the US don't realize it because they are surrounded by expensive cars (mostly lease) with big engines. In countries such as Brazil, popular cars are 4 cyl under 2.0 Liters. i've seen here a video of a 1.6 l 4 cyl pull +700 hp.

I'm not a fan of scions personally, I'm more a true toyota fan, but I do respect their aims and goals with their marketing of these types of cars.
