I would have liked to see a little more fighting against Blackbeard, maybe another person owning him like Whitebeard did, but then Shanks would look less epic.

@Lawliethatake I think it was too late for him to attack the sea king, he could only get Luffy out of the way in time. After he saves Luffy he uses haki to intimidate the monster. Why didn't he beat him up afterwards? Because Shanks isn't a violent person. One of the things that makes him awesome is the fact that he will avoid fighting, unless his friends are involved. The sea king was an animal, and it attacked Luffy out of instinct not because it was evil (unlike humans).

Cause if you wanna judge him strength wise, shanks is most likely equivalent to the admirals, and if they would have started a battle, the marines would most likely have won with Kizaru,Akainu,Aokiji. Also you make no sense whatsoever. You state if Whitebeard could own Akainu, so could shanks? how in hell does that make sense when Whitebeard is stronger than shanks? Whitebeard struggled against Akainu, I doubt shanks would still be that strong and tall as Whitebeard after getting half of his face burned off. Shanks is insanely strong yes I know, But I believe he is equivalent to Akainu.

I agree that 3 admirals would beat a yonkou. However, you say Whitebeard struggles against Akainu but you should keep in mind that he's already badly wounded at that stage (stabbed through the chest by Squardo) AND he's old. He was hailed as the strongest man after Rogers death but that's a long time ago, so it IS possible that Shanks is almost as strong now (Marco mentions during the war that Whitebeard is in a bad shape) and seeing how Shanks is able to clash blades with him

@RMACAO87 That is true but because the marines are making the war longer there are more marines getting killed causing just more revenge but if there is revenge in justice then it will cause more revenge a chain of hatred that could make the marines forget their sense of judgement and they will become like Akainu who follows dark justice like Rob Lucci. Coby as a marine soldier sees this isn't justice and so it's harming his dream and beliefs as of becoming a Marine Admiral.

You could argue that Smoker has already filled Garps position but I think he will be replaced with Coby once he develops more.
