/cry I loved the monster system (and Fenrir and Fenia, and--!) but my wii got scrapped ;_; I miss this game! fjkldaj;lda though I could play it at a friend's house, but wait, weren't the files stored on the wii itself ...? /CRY.

Anywho, I enjoyed watching your monsters fight. FENRIR <33 I remember it being tough to balance out my monsters in the arena, especially since you can't control any of them directly (which i always thought was lame).

got some neat monsters at my first playthrough:

Orion lvl 100

Galf Beast lvl 100~

Blade Rex lvl 70~

and Aspidoceleon at lvl 50~

orion and my galf beast made an extremely evil team in the twilight tower, raping everyone with quick strikes and insane dmg (like 20k~ critical dmg with a single hit)

now im on my second playthrough and i kept my monsters...and raped lloyd with me lvl 5...and after the battle i was like lvl21-22 hahaha.

@darkgrinder876: i just farmed the special group battle at the colliseum to get bunches of those gold tomes whatever. later i farmed that special monster battle which is very easy with the right monsters (the only hard things are 1) to get to the special rank(stupid level requirements...) and 2) that FUCKING KITTY CATS are just hard to hit with the wrong monsters...u really need at least 2 quick monsters to fairly catch them...)

@darkgrinder: not that much. once u get to the special monster rank you can level up your monsters extremely fast cause u always get a rainbow tome for only 3 short fights!(except for the first time where u get that headgear...which is very useful btw!)

so every rush through that rank you get 100k experience to a monster of your choice+ some neat exp from the fights aswell

I never was able to get the sweet monsters,The only one I had was Lailah(maybe) got it with the tree statue,I used all of the items(the special one needed to make statues) on junk because I didn't know they would get me sweet monsters later on -.-

i've just finished my first playthrough, and my monsters where lailah (~lvl60), ravenous (~60), orion (~70-80) and fenia (~70-80). even managed to complete the special monster and party battle with that group.

fenia is my fav monster as of now, her abilities are just great, especially explosion + her selfbuff

Fenrir is an awesome monster for beginner players once you get him. While Orion may have better techs, Fenrir has its cold breath, which can paralyze. It's a godsend in the A-rank Katz missions with the single battle. Not to mention its insane EXP gain. I had a Fenrir and Cacodemon as my final monsters in the first playthrough, and both served me very well.

im not done with game but my monsters are sphinx lvl 10, fenrir lvl 57,and cave bear lvl 34 thats just my main monsters im at the part where they just found out lloyd isnt who he really is you the decus guy

I have Carbuncle as a healer now,I'm gonna finish the coliseum when I get to it again >_> Going to be quite difficult though ._. beating the game on mania.The main monsters I use now are Blade Rex,Lailah,Orion, and some mermaid-type thing,forgot the name but I think it's the final evolution of the mermaid things,name might be cherapunjii.

oO I have no intention of offending you but I don't quite understand what you asked. If it is supposed to be What's needed to go to the monster battle than um,Monsters I guess? They just need to be a certain level to participate,forgot the numbers for them all but for Silver I believe it's under 60,Gold is under um,90? and special is under 120. Not sure if that was your question though,Sorry.

What level is your monsters? i don't think it is at high level, because mine strikes like 2000 a single hit... and it is level 77. well maybe you are in mania mode or hard mode... but still...

You evolve the Were Dragon into the Dark elemental one at level 21. It's called a Shadow Dragon. If you evolve it again, you'll get a Fafnir, which is Ice element.

=O I've never seen Acid Rain in this game lol and you get the Fafnir from a Shadow Dragon and the Shadow Dragon comes from a Were Dragon,If you have the items needed to make the dragon statue:Quality Stone,Dragons anger,and a philosopher stone,You can get a legendary dragon called a Blade Rex which comes from the Elder Dragon Chain of the Were Dragon.I don't think the Fafnir goes into one,had him in the mid 90's and only had the option to turn into a were dragon.

o nvm dat is a shadow dragon nice i got the wyrn in stead the went to Hyrdra but i don't think it's dat great , btw wat chapter are u on and do u kno were to find higher end Turtle monsters.

I think I'm on chapter 6,not sure where to get the higher class turtles but I've seen them somewhere.I'm pretty sure there's one at the second part of the earth temple.Try to raise a mandragora,they evolve into a legendary monster as does the wolf you start with,so does a red ogre,and a caterpillar and um I think those are the only I know of,working on a Jabber to see if he turns into the bird.

Not sure if the Ogre's any good lol I'm just going to try and get all of the legendary monsters,most the time monsters just sit in my party for exp,and I am on chapter 7 not 6,Stuck on a boss T-T I need at least one of my friends to help because the cpu's just horrible.You won't be able to go back to any towns for awhile now too,I find that disapointing about the game that you aren't able to go everywhere,I wasn't able to complete all the katz quests ,_, and I can't leave my current area.

It started as a Were Dragon,I captured it in um forgot the name ,_, the forest place you go to get rosemary after you reach Izoold.

Oh yeah,I found him in Camberto Forest,I think that's the name...Already forgot T-T.There's one in the C rank quest to help Donero as well.I am not sure if any monster can transform into the legendary of it's kind but just in case not capture one of the big turtles,He has the option to change into the legendary water monster,I'm going to guess the dragon I have goes to the Dragon god since I have not seen any other Dragons. o.o

Hmm.. I think I'm just going to start over with the grade bonuses then. I want to get 10x exp as soon as I can too =p I kinda rushed since I wanted to know the story and ending. I'll probably restart and try to collect more monsters. Also, complete more of the sidequests. Is it just me or is it hard to capture monsters sometimes? =/ Is there an easy way to catch them? xD

You just keep leveling them up,I am not sure whether feeding them speeds up the process or not but probably 60% of the ones I have Evolved around level 18 the 1st time,some have been around 14 as well. Another thing I am not sure of is that sometimes you can select what you want it to turn into,that dragon had the choices of an Elder dragon,shadow dragon,or Wyrm. I am not sure if this depends on the monster or the level,like if you get it to 18 and it can evolve or if you level it higher
