I was in the Bahamas years ago, in the 70's and the Queen was visiting, and the Britannia got here before her as she was using it to get to whereever she was going next. They actually allowed people to tour the thing!!! So, you can bet I did! It was beautiful! We even got to tour the engine room! I will never forget it!
In 1984 I was on 18 Month waiting list to join HMY Britannia but rather than wait I left the Royal Navy wish I had waited but she was finished not long after anyway.
