Without question, undoubtedly, the best American Idol EVER is DAVID COOK! No other contestant had so many electrifying performances. His voice is so beautiful and moving and I was SO incredibly happy when he won. The next best is Kelly Clarkson. Her voice just has so much soul and resonance, and her sophomore album was incredible...so many kick ass songs!!! I also love Fantasia. Carrie Underwood has a wonderful voice, but she just stands still on stage rather than engaging her audience.

Vocally, Fantasia is incredible. Not only does she have a gut-wrenching powerhouse of a voice, but she has great range and jazzy melismatic improvisations that diffuse her own unique character in her music. She puts her heart and soul into EVERY song she sings. GO girl! Oh yeah, Kelly and Carrie are good too.

This is cool! I'm a Taylor fan, but I watched season 1-5, and I don't fault any of them for the emotion of the moment. Jordin and David C are  flat too but I don't think they can hear the band. Congrats to all who make it.
