The NES game used to scare the crap out of my for some reason though, I thought the bomberman-looking guys had really creepy pale faces instead of being in white helmets.
Also I hate being chased. Every forced-scrolling level in a 2d platformer freaked me out as a kid. Guess I have no sense of urgency.
@HailToTheThief28 It's interesting that you pointed that out, particularly regarding platformers and platforming; For some reason, forced-scrolling didn't bother me much except when they crept up out of nowhere in old platforming games. I have a few old titles like "Batman: Revenge of the Joker" to thank for that. Also, speaking of urgency, I'm still creeped out for some reason when I fail to save the girl in Comix Zone at the end of the game. I don't remember ever suceeding either...
