I can see why Blair wanted to implement these draconian policies (to look as if he was doing something about the 'dangers of terrorism', or maybe more sinister) but why is it that the police are all to ready to take these laws to such a degree where they aren't even following them any more, who's making these decisions within the Force to do this?

The vast majority of unjust conviction and detention shouldn't happen in the first place. It's the police on the front lines' duty to implement the law in a fair and justified mannor.

That doesnt mean that ID cards are not on the agenda and it also doesnt mean that bio-metric forms of identification wont be introduced in the near future. A great example is how Ireland voted against the Lisbon treaty 3 times. The first 2 times it was rejected and the last time it went through. All they did was change the leverage and eventually through pressure and propaganda the PTB got their way.

With films like Zeitgeist and all the post 9/11 apophenia, I am generally skeptical of these kinds of movies... but this, this was awesome. Very enjoyable. Big thumbs up.

Brilliant documentary, only 40 mins in but enjoyed every minute of it so far. Obviously its horrible the hypocracy we endure in Britain, but i have to say it did make me feel extremely proud to be British to see all these lovely people standing up for what they believe in. Trust me others across the globe will respect the fact that we have such a concerned and caring part of the public
