i just want to know why do amricans and christins belive these mayan people its not even possible to pridict when the world is going to end they are just stupid calendars i mean

1. they are not angels or god

2. they cant just say " ohop the world is going to end on 2012"

3. they got nothing back than to prove it

WHAT?! As a child of Maya decent, I can tell you, we came to America just like the Iroquois, and Aztecs and Inca did, the Barring Strait. Another thing, the Maya created 17 total calendars, the 2 most famous ones are Hob, 365 days, and Long Count, about 5000 years. What people don't understand is it's just another calendar. It's because it's so big that people are scared. It's nonsense, this pointless fear. Forget 2012, focus on 2011. The biggest thing that will happen is the election.

Ancient Maya culture was here for a purpose and the Maya did not go extinct. They just adapted. Historical idealism of Mesoamerica is incomplete evidence of the lives of Mayans and other Mesoamericans.
