Although I guess not, since a episode of this show seen in large markets in December could have been seen in April or May in smaller markets, so I suppose that would defeat the purpose of acknowedging the holidays.
However, i'm not certain about this. Anybody know if TTD or any of the 60s or 70s syndicated shows acknowledged the holidays or had their sets decorated?
I'm curious about something: being as this show, TJW, Bullseye, Match Game PM, the syndicated HS of the 70s, and most of the syndicated game shows of the 60s, 70s and early 80s up until the nighttime versions of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! were in the first couple of seasons were all bicycled, did any of these shows ever bother to decorate their sets for the holidays?
@chairmanofthebored1 IIRC, Buffalo aired these two on WKBW... TTD at 7PM, and then TJW at 7:30. Sometime later, also IIRC, they went up Elmwood Avenue to WIVB, and Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud took over on Channel 7.
@chairmanofthebored1 Did the shows stay parked there through their entire runs in your area? NYC had TJW followed by TTD at night, then later TTD followed by TJW in the morning, and after Cullen took over Joker, TJW followed by TTD in the afternoon. It was hard to keep up with what timeslot they were in, lol
In case I have known this contestant on "Tic Tac Dough", his first $100,000 total win was on Friday, November 17, 1978 (first-run); Friday, August 17, 1979 (reruns).
I'm glad they changed the format from the categories shuffling after both players had a turn to shuffling after each question. It makes the game a lot more exciting and unpredictable.
@MrTroydninja OK. I was just curious though.

@chairmanofthebored1 LOL. NYC seemed to have a habit of musical game shows, Combs Feud jumped around timeslots like a kangaroo on speed.

@mrremark2 August of 79... after a New Orleans Saints pre-season game, I recall WDSU airing one of the Peter DeVries games on a Saturday Night.
