Hey this was a great informational video! Question .... in more arid areas (namely Lincoln County, NM) would horsetails be indicative of gold? I take it that the horsetails have to have some sort of underwater source as well...like the reeds, right?
Horsetails do require some water to grow, but its mostly surface water,(run-off).
Trees and water loving plants will show hidden low spots in bedrock or clay pockets containing water.
Look for some consistency with indicator plants.
Also when in the desert or arid areas you sometimes come across patches of course gravels in slight depressions. This represents "drain spots" where water rapidly drains under ground. An excellant pointer to under ground streams and potential go
Dude...check it out. When the camera zooms in around 1:54 to around 1:58 ....there is a very visible group of alien Greys huddled together under a leafy branch in the lower right quadrant part of the frame. They move around. Kind of freaky...
So many people I talk to have no clue about observing their surrounds and mineral types when out prospecting for gold. Thanks for posting this, it's very informative!
I'm trying to get an idea of where the ancient riverbeds are in Shasta county ca

@BigTW707
Look for the signs in any break on hillsides, also sudden green patches on dry hills or banks.
Unexplained dips in river valleys dry bottoms.
The list goes on... you have to be a detective watching for the signs.

Horse tails do require some water to grow, but not as much as reeds.
Horse Tails are, (or can be), a indicator of gold.
I use this technique quite often, Mainly for high benches.
