facebook privacy settings, news/wall setting gone

the new facebook layout is annoying....plus, not only can people see on whos picture or status i commented on, but what i said exactly...how do i remove this

do u know how to remove the recent activity from the NEW privacy settings. Cuz every move i make shows on my profile & news feeds. It was hidden b4 the changes facebook made

Thanks for trying to be informative but you really need to change your title, i.e. the "removing activity from feeds" part. You make your audience wait until 7:38 mark for you to say "So um I'm not real sure where the put the setting..." I just wasted 8 minutes to hear that you don't know where the setting is.

Go to

"Settings"

"Privacy settings"

"Profile information"

"Posts by Me"

Click on the drop down box to the right.

Go to Customize

Choose 'Only Me'

Your Status Updates will show up in the FEED (just choose 'Only Friends' or whoever you want to see it, next to the Share button before you post), but the Activity Updates will not.

Know that this setting makes your Wall tab disappear in case anyone comes back to your profile to look for your post (it will go straight to the Info tab).

cool tip....but this is just strictly posts you make...you'll still get all the other crap showing in your feeds like (in a relationship, commented on status, what fanpage you joined and all that other stuff) this is what everyone is pissed about

you can't until facebook brings back that privacy setting under "news/wall feed" look in the help center and voice your concern to FB

If you would like to prevent certain stories from being published about you on your Wall, just visit the "News Feed and Wall" section of your Privacy Settings page. Unchecking one of the story types means that no Recent Activity stories will be generated for that particular action. For example, if you uncheck the box next to "Add a friend," no one will ever see a Recent Activity story on your Wall when you add someone as a friend.

urggg..! what happened to the option where you could just turn off your recent activity so every little thing you do on someone else's wall doesn't appear on your wall but still shows up on the news feed..?

this video is wasting my time. you juz keep explaining sth that has description with it.

Eg: You gonna show where to hide the news feed button, I follow you to click in profile information, and you tell me there are "About me, Birthday",etc. First of all I'm not blind and I know what's in it, and 2nd of all and also the funniest thing is, you click "back" and continue to explain what is contact information. btw, I understand english and I dun need ur explanation, u can done this vid in 10 sec

this is a response video to the first that showed you how to remove the recent activity from feeds...however FB has made changes...prob right on the description of this vid...think i will edit it

hmm.. what happened was way before I changed privacy settings to "Not show when I add someone on my wall".. And now when I want to change it back to show when I add someone on my wall...There is no option like there was before..ahh

you don't need to add it its automatic & if you did not change this in your privacy settings it shows in the "live feed"

GUYSS i found a wayyy to hide ur profile album!!!

Go to

"Settings"

"Privacy settings"

"Profile information"

"Photo Albums - edit settings" scroll down , the last album is "Profile Pictures"choose "Only Friends":) enjoyyyyy

& you can HIDE your FRIENDS LIST!

Go to your profile, friends box,click on the pencil icon and uncheck the box that says "Display friends on my profile"
