I knew I favorited this video. I remembered you telling me about it when I asked! :D :D :D This needs to be added to the playlist for my wedding reception. (:
I cant quite wrap my head around the Jong rom jong vak na, khnyom rom ban tang os. Because I'm not sure what vak na or ban tang os means. Not sure if the spelling in English is correct.
Haaaa, ha ha ha. I just want to dance, dance, dance, dance, dance until the sun comes. I'll dance until I'm in pain I'll wont be able to heal. Whenever I get to dance, it's so fun. So glad to be able to dance, I just feel like dancing. Ha! I'm not finished dancing, dancing, dancing. Ha! I'm not finished dancing, dancing, dancing. Ha!!! Ha la ha la! Ago go Ru Mambo Cha cha cha
For those of you who need the lyrics. Dance? Dance? Dance? Baby, I'm not finished dancing yet. Ha! I'm not finished dancing, dancing, dancing. Ha! I'm not finished dancing, dancing, dancing. Haaaa, ha ha ha. I just want to dance, dance, dance, dance, dance until the sun comes. I'll dance until I'm in pain I'll wont be able to heal. Ha! I'm not finished dancing, dancing, dancing. Ha! I'm not finished dancing, dancing, dancing.
@petapanda Depends on the context. So if you're a woman saying it to a man, it'd be bong. From a man to a woman, it's oun. Bong also works for people who are slightly older than you. So if I were to speak to Jeff, and assuming he's a bit older than I am, I'd call him Bong Jeff, which would literally mean Older Brother Jeff, the same could be said with a slightly older woman. Because I am talking to him in a friendly manner, it would not come off as creepy.
Wow this is the ORIGINAL...there's so many remakes, but I can hear the originality of this of the time- 1960s, 70s in Cambodia - I love finding these treasures from the past...it's sooo crazy! I've listened to my mom listen to Cambodian songs like this since I was born & I always thought the original song was sung by Keo Pichenda. I'm so wrong. - this song reminds me of my mom & dad's pic in their bellbottoms in the 70s...speechless!
I've only just learned of the great Pan Ron via the Electric Cambodia compilation CD that was put together by the band Dengue Fever. I'm totally hooked! I want more! :)
Pen Ron, the most versatile singer back then!! - Cha Cha, Rum Vong, Slow, Saravan, Fast Slow, Sad, Happy, Being cute.etc...She could do all of them very well!!
Great video! You put a lot of work into making this! Thank you for the lyrics. Pan Ron is very very very cool!!! I don't think it's right to say she "was" cool, because she still is great and always will be.
It's so nice to see the past and couldn't help but to wondered how Lovely our srok khmer was.. poor nak mak and lork pa..had to leave such memories behind
