The Asuka player got overconfident when she had her third round almost won. Notice she used the Giant fan item move atleast two times. May she wanted to make it more challenging and was trying to lose on purpose. Julia took advantage.

Regarding the latter question (pushing someone away) that's just a low parry; you just time df (down-forward) with a low attack, and that gives you frame advantage. You can't use it if you're already eating a combo though; if you blocked a low before that though it is usable.

Yes, they got rid of it. Really not that horrible of a loss, she has other tools that make up for it. Julia is low risk medium reward now rather than high risk high reward. Namco redesigned her from the raw basics up. Now that her jab is 10 frames (like everyone else's) 1,2,1 would have (in the end) been less useful in T6 regardless compared to the other tools she has been given.

Her 1,2,1 made her hard approach in T6 cuz was an 8 frame punisher that led to at least 70% life. But Julia looks pretty solid still in this game...as well

correct! tekken 6 made it easier to finish one round especially wall hits. wall hit have high damages! what i like is the bounce system... LOL... and then at tekken 7 they will make it double bounce... nice...
