There was no profit for America to be involved in Vietnam, the reason America got involved there was to stop the spread of communism. But by the time Pol Pot came to power there was massive anti war sentiment in the United States, to get involved in Cambodia right after Vietnam would have been political suicide.

@coocoosing While yes America's bombing in Cambodia made it possible for the Khmer Rouge to take over, it is not true that America didn't help because there was no profit in it. There was no profit for America to be involved in Vietnam, the reason America got involved there was to stop the spread of communism. But by the time Pol Pot came to power there was massive anti war sentiment in the United States, to get involved in Cambodia right after Vietnam would have been political suicide.

What I am alluded to is the folowing: Marx' theories are very idealistical. Marx - for me - was a very smart and interesting person. But he himself said toward the end of his life: if communists are marxists, then I am not a marxist. So Marx' theories are not implementable.

the cold war started after the dropping of bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima causing a soviet buildup of nuclear armaments.this also caused tensions in the allied control council as to what to do about Berlin. i feel sorry for you,your leaders neither have the know-how to fix your countries problems,or the competence to handle military conflict,much like our government here in australia.
