I would like to say I took Shahada Germantown masjid in Philadelphia which is a salafi masjid. As I have grown in my 8 yrs of Islamic faith I have come to the opinion that Muslims should follow the Sunnah as in authentic ahadith and worship as the Qur'an teaches us. This simply means that if I am given knowledge from someone of ilm, I accept it until otherwise proven a bidda'. I don't use salafi I use muslim and I attend masjids where I find all authentic teachings being given. Allah Guide us.
@TheSupremeDon Sadly not every muslim thinks like you. If everyone followed the Qur'an and Sunnah as they have been commanded, we wouldn't have all these divisions. There is no such thing as 'shia' or 'sunni' muslim in the Qur'an. You are either a properly practising muslim or you're not. Thats it. Follow the Qur'an and Hadith and do it correctly. Thats all that should matter. May Allah SWT guide us all on the right path.
And whoever contends with and contradicts the Messenger after guidance has been clearly conveyed to him and chooses a path other than that of the Faithful Believers, We shall leave him in the Path he has chosen and land him in Hell, what an evil refuge! [Quan 4:115]
"So fear Allah and adjust all matters of differences among you." [Qur`an 8:1]
If you differ in anything among yourselves refer it to Allah and His Messenger if you believe in Allah and the Last Day, that is more better and more suitable for final determination. [Quran 4:59]
As long as you hold fast to two things which I have left among you, you will never go astray: Allahs Book (Quran) and the Sunnah of His Messenger. [Al-Haakim - Sahih].
It is prohibited to speak during the khutbah, not during the adthaan [see sahih al-bukhari 892 and sahih Muslim 851; Ahmad 20780 and Ibn Majah 1111 classed as sahih by al-Busayri and al-Albaani in Tamaam al-Mannah, p. 338]. It is also prohibited to eat, drink, fidget or motion to others, during the adthan, these prohibitions, just as with talking, do not apply during the adthaan. Consequently there was no harm in the khateeb drinking. WaAllahu alam.
please dont get mad at me or send me a mean reply. Just want to let you know that I have studied this hadith and its more than just weak, but fabricated. any muhaddith would tell you the same. wallahualim
You people dont even know what the word Salafi means... and you sit here judging the peopke who are doing something for the deen. You should be ashamed of yourself.
abu usamah is a scholar who saidhe is not people of bidah are tahur ul qadri alayhilanatulah these r the people of fitna the people who speak without burhaan and abu usamah uses burhan may allah protect him
is abu usama salafi? well acording 2 him yeah at 1st,now no. the ulama advise 2 not take anything from him until he clears himself.usama goes 2 uk n sits with the peo of bidah and no that they r upon bidah and dont correct them. futhermore he said he didnt agree with everything from sheikh rubee. he has warnings on him on here along with bilal philips may allah guide them both ameen.
Well the true reason why the people of saudia have advised people to avoid bilal philips is because he made TRUTHFUL statements about the hypocrisy in Saudia....I dont know about Abu Usamah.....but the same thing has been done to Sheikh Faisal.....
@1FUNDAMENTALIST1 I don't know if you stll can be reached by this comment, but I agree with your comment. I was a member of the NOI from 11 to 16. Was an atheist from 16 to 18; took the Shahada at 18 (32 years ago) and became a better Muslim FROM READING CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHER SOREN KIERKEGAARD! The only Muslim I know who would understand that is Bilal! I am a Muslim that came to the deen by way of my logic and that is what makes my Iman strong. I still read and listen to Sheik Bilal.

There should be no divisions in Islam. There is only one school of thought and that is the Qur'an and AUTHENTIC Sunnah.
Yes sister Sheikh Abu Usama is salafi but not super. When he came to Maidstone we sat with him and I asked him that if someone enforces a madhab on me what he advises me to do. He said that if there is a Hanafi sheikh who will correct Imam Abu Hanifa rahimullah's faults n take what is authentic I should go with him. However I should remain upon As-Salafiyya
this is blind following? We are not Hanifis.. Malikis.. we are muslims.. and we should follow the qu'ran and sunnah in the way of the rightly guided predessors and not our own opinion. Take from Allah His Book.. the sunnah of the messenger salah la hu alay he wa salaam, and those who He (in soorah Nisa) says he has put in authority over us!
Wow Khalilamuslima u are a big Scholar first u asking about if someone is salafy or not and now u dropping verdicts about blindfollowing.Dont post no more just listen and enjoy stop getting in trouble with ur LORD
May Allah preserve and reward our brother Abu Usama for his good work and make him from those who will continue to benefit the ummah.
and May Allah protect us and him from those who want to cause corruption and fitnah in the land and judging duats wih falsehood and unclear knowledge.

Salafiyyah: understanding the Quran and Sunnah like the sahhaba of prophet Muhammed p.b.u.h understood it.
Salafiyyah is no groep but the name is referring to the sunnah, to seperate the truth from the bid3a.
