Boogers4dinner sums it all up, keep reppin hiphop white or black, its not a game or a "cool thing to do" its a way of life! If your brought up a certain way, live in certain surroundings, and experience different ways of life that's hiphop. White or black is a race thing and hiphop isnt about racism its about life. If you've lived it, love it and embrace it, its a culture. It takes talent to be a singer, but it takes more creativity to be a rapper, WE WRITE LYRICAL POETRY! ;)-~
why they can't download a more clear version of this video... I miss videos like this... NO jewelry, NO cars, NO houses... just your crew and creativity!
My only complaint with this is that it's too low. I can barely hear it. Other than that much thanks for posting it. If you re-post it it would be perfect.
@babah77088 hehe let me tell you something. im a white kid from norway, but i would burn your sorry ass in any graff battle, pump out your heart with my beats and blow your head open with my lyrics. btw smif-n-wessuns and bccs ceo is white. p's
@Kaplanman09 wutang forever!!! battle just not in s.i cause we didnt know how to act just ask m.o.p they barly got off the island alive. but much props to you for your taste in music and you have to throw mobb deep in there only the strong survive
@Kaplanman09 You are absolutely right!!! I always wanted to see that battle go down but they are cool with each other. But I would have been riding with BCC if that shit went down.
it's crazy how they censor the word "gun" and "pistol" on a rap song but damn near every show on tv has a gun in it or somebody getting shot or murdered. Fucking hypocrites!
True that G. . On the real, white people or black. Think for a second that we all are brothers and sisters. Hood or good, we all got a bit of hip hop in us. Front like everyone in the world dun love Big and Pac. . . . . . Or Eminem. Word said
I remember this whole song was like this huge build up to that last verse, and then it comes, and you get goosebumps (in fact I just got them again) when he lets loose... god i miss the old days of hip hop.
Dope track I remember it back in '97 b4 the album dropped. The hey day of real hip hop, there is still so much buried. As for the color thing, the majority of BBoys, DJ's, and writers (graf artists) are white, hispanic, and asian. All part of real hip hop culture, without them we end up with Jay z Soldier boy !$#@&*, profit driven soulless uncultured garbage.
Oh SH-T! I remember that whole era. they made the Stuy a place to be. I miss that. NOW we got these Skinny Jeans wearing MF's runnin' around make'n NY/BK look bad. SHAME on you fool.
I grew up listening to these tracks. I live for these tracks. I met biggie and pac at their prime. I was there. Still, I don't judge people by the colour of their skin. Hip Hop and Rap are art to be enjoyed by the masses. The color is at the eyes of the listener. Don't think about the color of skin when you hear this track, hear the beat, bassline and sampling of different elements of this track. Hear the lyrics, where they strive from and where theyre aiming for. Feel the essence.
We are all hip hop whether black or white. When a white person enjoys hip hop that's a good thing, it means that they appreciate our culture. Why diss that? Hip Hop is all about unity. Don't diss white people who enjoy hip hop embrace them like your brothers and sisters because that's what they are. That's real. Hip Hop is for every one who wants to enjoy it.
I know bitch assed niggas like you. If someone doesn't conform to your petty constrained world view then he has to be white. What kind of bullshit is that? These gays are rapping out their ass. As a hip-hop connoisseur, I expect a higher lyrical standard. If you want to keep your steez dumbed down to that level then that's fine. Just stay off my dick, bitch.
What's wrong with niggas like you? Why do I have to be white because I can be analytical or take an opposing viewpoint or because I think outside the box OR because I wont' settle for lazy lyrics?
Try and distinguish yourself as a man/woman and get off this herd mentality bullshit.
we play the hackers, takin rappers apart, disect them, from the rectum to they neck doublecheck them, make sure shits correct then direct them, to the section, where the sessions in progression when you come n get blessed by SMIF N WESSUN.....hardest lyrics on the whole track
yo wblake...actually, most east heads made no distinctions between Wu and the Boot Camp-when the shit was actually going down. They both were two tight ass camps. Niggaz was equally hyped over both sets. IMO
Won on Won they dont know bout this track. Cocoa Brovaz aka Smiff n Wessun and the Boot Camp Cliq was may fav east coast rappers back in the day but the gods 1st da WU-Tang.
Steele is IMHO one of the most underrated lyricists in the game right now...go back and check most BCC posse cuts, and tell me he don't body the track with his verses...plus dude is mad nice off the head!!!
It's too bad brothas like him can never get the true shine they deserve!!!
i never knew there was a video for this. ".....let me drop this nobody...comin out the closet tryna stop my money...thinkin sh*t is sweet cus he aint seen me in the streets...spit the blood out and get back up on ya feet...you called me, i was there on some candyman sh*t...wear that ass out in frontchya kids and ya b!tch"....that's real man talk there dude..
I always felt this song was the illest that came out that year, even though none of my boys were crazy about it. I was disappointed with that album though, every single released was dope, but I didn't expect the different producers they used. I appreciate the album a lot more now than I did at the time, but Gangstarr had just come out with Moment of Truth and that kind of stole some shine from it. Dope ass video too man, shit used to be entertaining/creative.
Even the rappers who use to be the shit, blowing out speakers back in the days, they're also popping bullshit these days. It's a disease most are happy catching. But Fuck it, there's enough CLASSIC JAMS from way back to last a lifetime and overule the bullshit. PEACE
