I think there is some bearing to your statement though. Seeing as Japan seems to have a serious technological advantage over China, it is very possible that majority of China Based manufacturers buy their microchips from Japan. However, Japan-China trade wouldn't be the cause of China's cheapness, but rather an inevitable effect of it. Where there is a will, there is a way. Also, if they trade, it's a sign that they are finally getting over that stupid bronze-age rivalry.

i agree thats the only real problem, but i overcame that pretty quickly once i found that , even though i have a warranty on the real products that i buy, if anything goes wrong- the company will almost always refuse to fix them or give me a new one anyway, warrantys and insurance dont really give any protection most of the time nowadays....so its pretty much like not having one as with a fake product.

First off that stupid dick waving rivalry goes back much further than WW2.
Secondly, the reason the Chinese people are "cheap" is because many companies can't afford anything better than obsolete equipment and the standard for what a "decent" wage is, is much lower than, the US and Britain, hence the desire to fill in roles that most US and EU people would consider insulting. What you could achieve with the same cunning in the Western World, wouldn't even sustain a frikkin' fruit stand in China!

I think there is some bearing to your statement though. Seeing as Japan seems to have a serious technological advantage over China, it is very possible that majority of China Based manufacturers buy their microchips from Japan. However, Japan-China trade wouldn't be the cause of China's cheapness, but rather an inevitable effect of it. Where there is a will, there is a way. Also, if they trade, it's a sign that they are finally getting over that stupid bronze-age rivalry.

i agree thats the only real problem, but i overcame that pretty quickly once i found that , even though i have a warranty on the real products that i buy, if anything goes wrong- the company will almost always refuse to fix them or give me a new one anyway, warrantys and insurance dont really give any protection most of the time nowadays....so its pretty much like not having one as with a fake product.

I don't get it. You take advantage of producing your super expensive goods in a retardely cheap manner and then are shocked when those same factories produce the goods at a lesser price with a fake brand name. If you don't want this to happen don't use chinese labor to produce it, the only reason they can make it so cheap is that they rely on the knockoff market to recoup their losses.

Nike in many contries other than the US it pronounced "naik"(emphasis on the "a", kinda sounds like the word "spike" exept instead of "sp" there is a "n") even the commertials pronounce it that way, so it is not that poor of an efford to trick someone. :)
