the reason why your motor is so hot is becuase you have your truck geared so low, try a little higher, got a kb45 8xl in my revo on 6s lipo i got 55 mph and my motor was only 117 farenheit
Yo! Yes, the MMM and the KB45XL 1600KV works good together(They _are_ shredding my truck, just like CC's homepage says!) In fact so well that I'm looking at changing over for an Align 650L 1220KV motor with different gearing... The KB45XL 1600KV tends to go a little on the hot side for my taste(73C with ambient of 15C). Still, it's a pretty decent motor for the money, but if I were you I'd buy the 1200KV one and run on 5S lipo instead of 4S.
9.6v 7400mAh nihm.. WOW i wnna know were 2 get a battery like that ?

@bbulletman: You make one out of 2x 9.6V 3700mAh acks.... ;) they are heavy as h*** though so I'd recommend the Lipo or LiFe anyway...

Thanks for the info, but I have already changed into an Align 650L and geared up quite a bit, now no temp at all and pretty decent at all speeds ;)
