I did not realize the purpose of the "slow close" until my little boy accidentally slammed his "you know what" in the lid. Lots of blood and tears!!! We built a house a little over a year ago, and the guy that sold us our plumbing asked us if we wanted the slow close, and I opted against it not knowing that it was actually a safety feature! For the sake of your toddler boys please upgrade you toilet lid!!!!!
