ok just to get this out of the way, sabbath is OVER-RATED! yeah I fucking said it...I have been listening to them longer than half of you have been alive so fuck-off!

Zeppelin were true masters. Hell Deep Purple were better and more influential IMO. Sabbath were de-tuned, one-trick ponies. Tony Iommi was average and Ozzy was a figurehead. Sorry, but Dio was a better frontman.

yeah the initial bass lines sound like Butler and the guitars sound as if Tony himself had tuned them, even if they're playing a totally different music style there's undeniable Sabbath vibe there.

All bands are overrated by some and underrated by others, BS has had its up and downs like all bands, but all their pre Never Say Die albums are LEGENDARY and practically defined the metal genre, sound, attitude and lyrics wise, i put them above Deep Purple anyday and as gr8 as Zeppelin

Dio and Ozzy were both great frontmen, but Ozzy is a crucial part of the old, classic, legendary Black Sabbath sound so I like him more even if Dio's voice was more powerful and versatile

@fatnaken Zeppelin were not as heavy as Sabbath, but i will admit, they had obviously neverending possibilities with their talent.

They had crucial parts in pioneering Heavy Metal, but Sabbath is Heavy Metal by the first song and very few have made songs that reaches above the standard set by Tony Iommi.

Zeppelin are awesome, no doubt, but to each his own, no one can win this.

Veigh, Pepper Kenean left COC years ago to play guitar for Down. He's made alot of money with Down with Platinum albums but I liked COC with him better.
