I remember seeing Norum perform this stuff back in 1986 on MTV (I think). I recorded it on VHS, but like most everybody else, I lost (or threw out) the videotape... DRAT!!!

Kee Marcelo é perfeito, no video de 89 ele dá um show de interpretação e presença de palco, melhorou os solos sem atropelar as partes marcantes de cada um e sempre será a pedra no sapato de Norum que, com uma pose "sei muito" se ferrou ao sair e deixar para Kee uma banda pronta para ele estraçalhar com muita técnica, timbre e pegadas mortais!!

Admittedly, his style is a mix of Yngwie's, Gary Moore's, Michael Schenker's, and a whole lotta other players... but he managed to develop HIS own style out of it all...

John Norum was and still is an amazing guitarist but sadly "overlooked" because he plays in a 80's glam/rock-pop/rock band. I really like Europe myself, but the "rock-respect" isn't the highest for the band. (You know.. all those talking about "mainstream" or not all day long.. who cares? It's only music. Either you like it or you don't.. nobody cares about your belief if it's too mainstream or not).

THANKS to "edissondbc" for uploading this unbelievable video! Every time I see/hear it, it's like a trip down Memory Lane! You can hear all of Norum's influences: Michael Schenker, Gary Moore, et al. The coolest thing is that he combined all of those influences into a style that is unmistakably his own! ROCK ON NORUM!!!

I love John Norum. That last solo kills, quite simple but sounds great. Most decent guitarists could play that solo (or most of JN's solos), but it wouldn't sound as good as when John plays it/them. I like the way he switches flawlessly between the bridge and neck pickup in most of the solo's. His tone if pretty f'in good too. Love strats+ 80's gain, yumm!
