Tornado Alarm Sounding in Fort Oglethorpe, GA 4/27/11

I thought this area didn't have tornado sirens because the mountainous terrain would render them virtually useless. I know we don't in Dalton for that reason. I live WAY out in the country so they would do us no good anyway.

@Spade423: Neither did I. I think it went off 3 times that day, that I heard. God, that was such a scary day.

@AreHeritageComedy Where is the siren(s) in Ringgold? Is the one up on top of the fire department's training tower the only one or are there more?

sirens went off where I was too. I was picking my friend up from her babysitting job and we were gonna wait it out in the basement there. The sirens were going off and the kids' parents kicked us out into the storm.

yeah we live in chickamauga ours went off a few times too... we ended up at in laws in fort o to ride the rest out until a few mins ago... poor people in ringgold :(
