What an incredibly moody film that was. I loved the lack of dialogue which was totaly taken over by the shadowy location and the music which matched the scenes perfectly. It was the sheer magic of the swordplay choreography and the really powerful acting between the two main characters that I found intoxicating. The rest of the cast obviously enhanced the scenes. It was just heart melting for me, thank heavens it ended well. x
It is really brilliant! The music melt my heart. Because there wasn't a lot of lines being said in the movie, the music portray the emotions of characters. Watching the part when she was angry with him, the music was wild and loud but you could still hear the soft soothing music in the background...expressing how she feels inside about him. She is angry with him, but at the same time she loves him deep down inside. "I love you soo much..."

Since this movie's first release I have always loved it and even though I was quite young at the time and didn't fully understand it, I could still sense that what I was watching wasn't just some romance movie, it was pure art, beautiful in its simplicity. True love need not words to convey it. Sad eyes 'and Nimsoon's relationship prove that. Kang Dong-Won is a very talented actor and no one could have played his role as Sad Eyes better than he.
Truly marvelous. I've never been into these films but this one was just beautiful. I don't think he died. Considering he was just as skilled as Namsoon and the Old Cop. If the Old Cop didn't die when I thought Minister Song also slashed him across the stomach then I doubt Sad Eyes died. Plus, the story teller saw them fighting that night. It's nice the ending is so open, but I really think it's meant to throw us off unless something is different in the novel. I see the ending in the market as a good indicator he is not dead.

its funny, in the end they're still "tail"-ing him.. i really do love swordplay thing, cuz its cool and some many things r expressed within swordfighting. its not really fighting, its like way of expressing themselves. its like the only time they can show their love and passion for each other.. idk there are just too many things untold but expressed
Honestly speaking, although I understood the plot, about 90% of it was lost and burried behind the swordplay and the relationship between the main two characters.
I loved the swordplay to dance analogy and although I don't get how he would have survived the end I like that he did. I wouldn't be opposed to a sequal, even if I won't pay attention to the plot, because it's the first time I cared less about the plot then the random scenes with the two characters. :P

Both of the main actors acted so well. HaJiwon amazed me again with her acting skills. Im so amazed on how she can portrait different roles, and do it excellently. Well, he didn't die because she's holding the gift he bought for her. So quite possibly he somehow managed to get away, that dude telling the story saw them dance and the two cops are just after him all over again.... i think... lol

maybe we dont understand much coz its based on a novel and novels have lots of meanings and if portrayed on movies it gets shorter..i know co i read novels..
but i miss them both.!

its funny, in the end they're still "tail"-ing him.. i really do love swordplay thing, cuz its cool and some many things r expressed within swordfighting. its not really fighting, its like way of expressing themselves. its like the only time they can show their love and passion for each other.. idk there are just too many things untold but expressed

Honestly speaking, although I understood the plot, about 90% of it was lost and burried behind the swordplay and the relationship between the main two characters.
I loved the swordplay to dance analogy and although I don't get how he would have survived the end I like that he did. I wouldn't be opposed to a sequal, even if I won't pay attention to the plot, because it's the first time I cared less about the plot then the random scenes with the two characters. :P

Both of the main actors acted so well. HaJiwon amazed me again with her acting skills. Im so amazed on how she can portrait different roles, and do it excellently. I can't even get forward from the sword fighting she did with Kang Dong Won.KangDongWon amazed me on how portrayed this very serious role. I was used to seeing him act on Funny movies and dramas. So this is a big deal seeing him being serious all throughout the movie.his swordfighting skills are

Well, he didn't die because she's holding the gift he bought for her. So quite possibly he somehow managed to get away, that dude telling the story saw them dance and the two cops are just after him all over again.... i think... lol

sad eyes is really attractive and i really like the fight in the end but i really don't understand the movie at all. It has a lot of metaphors and symbolisms that is very hard for me to decipher. I think this is a very good movie only if all the symbolisms and metaphors are unlocked. The only thing that i was able to decipher is the red robe in the fight scene, i am sure that the meaning of this is death, so i think sad eyes as they call him died at the end of the movie.

The ending is left for viewers to interpret. You can believe he died, or he wasn't killed. All up to your own decision.

so it goes on again! I love this film, You just know their gonna meet again everytime through their lives, how unbelievably romantic, beats any American romantic crap, this is beautiful because words aren't spoken and it's all about glances and movement, small touches, absolutely wonderful, music is just beauty to the ears, especially ending song, love this so much, best ever!
