@TheGoalSetter Or perhaps scientologists could provide some evidence for their claims since they are the ones making them. Start with the whole thetan/xenu/volcano thing please.
@TheGoalSetter You should probably trust what the media says when they do have the evidence though. There is enough evidence about what scientology is and what they stand for in the media, and even the smallest investigation will illuminate that for you.
You ask why a religious person making crazy claims should owe me an explanation.......but you also say that when you hear accusations without proof, you shatter the accuser. Seems you already know the answer to your question, hypocrite.
@Coryscott5 I see some common ground. You clearly dislike those that are so gullible they accept crazy religious stuff...I too dislike that. But I also dislike the masses being so gullible they accept what the media says. Ditto for people who *blindly* accept politicians/scientists/academians/religious leaders/etc.
But being gullible with the media is the most dangerous because the media controls the beliefs of the most people. The people need to know how much the media 'wags the dog'.
@TheGoalSetter I see common ground too. The media should be checked, verified, and applauded when factual and accurate. They should be humiliated when non-factual or misleading.
Someday, they'll do an entire section on FoxNews is journalism courses -- just to know what NOT to do.

@Coryscott5 Did you see Stewart/Cobert Restore Sanity/Fear live show in DC? They had a hilarious skit where they mocked the ridiculousness of the media...how the media bombards us with one baseless fear after another.
I really enjoyed that show...and I'm not a Democrat!
David Miscavige's mother-in-law's death was originally classed as "suicide," but upon closer inspection it was determined from the ballistics and the height of Ms. Barnett, the wounds couldn't have been self-inflicted.
One week prior to her death, she had threatened to sue the Church, and was meeting with a sworn enemy of David Miscavige.
You know what I would think would be a great idea? This video shooped with the most recent people that left the cult. Mike Rinder or Marty Rathbun's face overtop of that dancing guy's face would be epic, along with any recent defectors.
Who knows - one day we may even see Tommy Davis' face on a video. :)

More slander...yawn.
Stop bombarding people with your opinion and show us some evidence.
It is YOU who are making the accusations, thus it is YOU who must provide the evidence.

@Coryscott5 I'm no Scientologist, but I'm wise enough to know not to trust ANYTHING the media has to say about them.
So when I hear accusations without proof, I 'confront and shatter' the accuser.
Also, if people want to believe in water walking, water parting, Xenu, or no god, that is their opinion. Why do they owe you an explanation?
